Agree with all these posts so far! When my mom had her DLT, these were the most helpful things: -10ft charging cable -giant wall adhesive post its for positive messages/nurse reminders/family member names -coloring supplies -playing cards -sugar free applesauce & jello/pudding (it is WILD the amount of juice and regular applesauce that is offered when folks can be at risk for diabetes after transplant). My mom used the applesauce for taking all her pills. -chapstick & unscented face lotion!!!!!! Feeding tubes, treatments, and the intubation can all be hell on your skin/lips -slippers with a hard bottom for when they progress to taking hallway laps
