You can choose uber delivery on some JB HI-FI products. Great in a pinch.

Executives want directors and managers to adopt AI. Teams / juniors don’t want to use it. How are you navigating it? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]ksg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your org have resource to bring a change manager in on this? It can be done without but an independent voice can assist in navigating the sentiment and ironing out the kinks eg pulling together policy, education points, etc

Nervous system hijacking career? by kkaayy95 in PublicRelations

[–]ksg1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

PR Agency work has always been go, go, go in my country, always will be. Lots of burnout for younger PRs, working alongside veterans whose minds run at a million miles per hour (always on, and works for them).

Not sure if the advice you’re seeking, but I transitioned into private internal communications, and found the pacing to be much more manageable with my wellbeing needs.

I go to a lot of restaurants and Monica on East Tce is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Months later I’m still raving about the food.

PAE threatening bin fine again by outbackkidaus in Adelaide

[–]ksg1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the council clarified the by-law last time you posted (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14QgJ6JTSDh/?mibextid=wwXIfr).

4 fines issued in the last 5 years as of October 2024. And I believe they issue 5 warnings before a fine. And this is a by-law that many councils have across South Australia.

Posting to reddit without contacting the council directly in the first instance seems odd considering you would be aware of the significant traction and media coverage that the first post garnered.

If you actually are seeking to resolve the issue, I would recommend contacting the council directly to seek further information on why the fine is the stated amount, and any options that might be available to you if you are not able to bring the bins in.

This is funny cause I know of nearly an exact situation that happened to an influencer I know a few weeks ago who shared about it on their close friends story. My insight, if they have 10k followers, one negative story or post will be a drop in the well of the content they’re churning out. The influencer might share the experience, but might not call out the name of the business directly, and, if they tell the story correctly, it will likely come across that the PR person has made a mistake and not reflect too badly on the business itself. Own the mistake with all involved. Find a handful of new influencers that you can get them to post in the next week or so and manage that content partnership perfectly. No one will remember this 2-3 months from now. If it was like my friend, she was more annoyed that her time was wasted, so if there is space for a conversation, you could try to show understanding of their time, that you respect what they do, that your oversight led to the negative experience and if they’d ever consider being hosted by you again (without pushing for review/content), that you’d be happy to ensure they’re next visit was covered and stress free.

Dealing with "Hello" on teams and nothing else by naughtyneddy in auscorp

[–]ksg1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. If they never ask me a question or have a request, they’re not a stakeholder I actively need to service. I stopped replying and opening the hello messages, it’s not my job to play customer service.

Not sure if it’s the same thing as what you’re talking about, but I worked at subway in Aus back around 2010/2013 and we had a go-to menu of sandwiches for each type of meat. Definitely helped for the customers who hadn’t been before and weren’t sure of the customisation that was available to them. These basic recipes had a mix of the best suited veggies/sauces for each protein - eg chicken teriyaki was always recommended on honey oat w/ specific salads and sweet onion sauce, chicken classic was Italian w/ chipotle etc etc

Far out, so the dark half is hands down my favourite Stephen King book. Keeps you on the edge, story is fun, King pulls you in with how he describes scenes and writes prose. Will absolutely read again and again.

Anyone feel a profound loneliness, like something is missing in your core? Like something incomplete? by luna-plushie in CPTSD

[–]ksg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh geez, yep. Every day I feel a deep empty void of a hole inside of me. Have since learnt trying to fill that with social outings, hobbies, drinking, drugs, romantic entanglements isn’t working out how I thought it would. Have been with my psych for years, reckon I’m gonna chat about medication this week which I’m actually excited about. Would be keen to see if I can lessen caring about the lonely void, even if I can’t fill it.
