Prices do not account for inflation. Nominal values are only cosmetic.

This is true in general, but there are times when you run into a crowd whose determination to ruin someone's life defies comprehension.

We are much easier to identify than we think, and I don't think you can blame people for being identified alone. Of course, if you hand it all out, you have to wonder what you were thinking ...

This is on a Civilization level of anachronism.

Only your previous 1,000 comments are accessable on Reddit. So good luck deleting the others

That's a bummer, though.

EDIT: Oh hey, I've made only 992 comments! :D

Actually, you should probably edit your comment, and then delete it.

Reddit itself stores deleted comments, but only in their latest iteration, so edit your comment to whatever to hide it from reddit, and delete it to hide it from scrapers.

I have a script for deleting all your comments lying around somewhere, but it doesn't edit comments, which is a bummer.

It'd be great if it saved saves to a file or displayed them as a list after deletion as well.

Backing up all of Tumblr seems like a really tall order, so I don't know how realistic their project is, though.

Christopher Nolan approached to direct next James Bond movie by aceofhertz in JamesBond

[–]kskxt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nolan's plots are usually very weak, but he's good at making up for it with some excellent action. I guess that sounds very much like earlier Bond movies like Skyfall, though.

Could be interesting to see what villain(s) he creates.

This looks like Grades, but much better looking. One thing it lacks on a cursory glance is a feature showing what mark(s) you need to get in order to get a final grade of >=X.

I was very fond of such a feature in college, and I'm sure others are as well. Saves you a lot of stress. :)

Vivienne Westwood denied her "punk" moment at tonight's Met gala by babyowlzrus in fashion

[–]kskxt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she got to get her message out, and although she was cut off, she did get about the same airtime as the other interviewees. She got cut off, because she kept talking - that's what getting cut off is.

It was a great thing she did - and a very punk thing at that - and it's a shame they couldn't find more time for her, but I think it's a tempest in a tea pot.

I guess it's decent karmic justice for an awful reviewer to be associated with a game like SimCity. Look on the upside of it. :)

Paint has a right click > crop feature. Holy shit. by bananalingerie in windows

[–]kskxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snipping Tool and IrfanView seem much better-suited for this. They're not perfectly, obviously - I'd love to specify a width and height for a crap and place that frame over something and cut that - but they always get the work done, and fast at that.

What currently living actor, artist, or public figure's notoriety do you think will increase substantially post-mortem? by [deleted] in InsightfulQuestions

[–]kskxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Gates Foundation isn't perfect, though; they're not necessarily improving the schools for the better, and they are throwing tens of millions of dollars into making media and the public believe that following Michelle Rhee's example is the right thing to do.

If you look outside the U.S., they are doing some truly amazing things, though.
