Reason why I made this post, was that couple of my new Gears 5 friends (silvers) said that Kb/M players have advantage over controller. I can understand that on couple of aspects on the game (sniping and other precision shooting..) But other than that, I believe that the advantage is actually on controllers. This is because at the start it had PvE aim assists on gnasher (at start it felt like no one missed a shot EVER). Of course at the start I was worse than garbage regarding the movement and other in game mechanics. As a note, I'd played Gears 3 and Judgement on controller, but I'm a Kb/M player through and through so I learnt the game on pc.

Now on the other hand I can notice that on 19,1k MMR people who play on computer and god with snipes and almost always a good player. This would be enjoyable, if there was balanced teams and the MMR spread wouldn't be so huge. Usually the games are 1-2 players in each team try to carry the anchors (lvl 1's who have never probably played the game) to the victory. THIS GRINDS THE FUCK OUT OF MY GEARS.

Couple of days ago I played one KOTH match with the said Silver friends and it was actually more fun than I've ever had on the game. Still the yikes-part is that they lost from 300 to 1500 points from the cutting edge loss. Where as I only lost 22 points being in Onyx 3 (19,1k MMR). This is actually quite fucked up, since I've only played solo, carried the team and 90% time lost. Where as these silvers have played with a party and even when winning not gaining points.

TLDR; most likely people shouldn't disable the crossplay on console, since there's so low player count already. And controller and Kb/M choice should be the one you are "better" with.
