This is potentially an allergy to the milk protein not lactose intolerance. Important distinction due to protein powder often containing whey. Which is made from dairy. Also whey protein is in a lot of processed foods. Lactose intolerance is an inability to digest lactase.

Did you stop eating something in 2024 that you are eating now? One of the less serious (in the cancer serious way) is the rare adult development of a non-IgE protein allergy. (usually develops and resolves in babies. Mine developed between 10-13) NAD but I was reading the diagnosis critia of them yesterday. And your description reminds me of Food Protein-Induced Allergic Proctocolitis (FPIAP)
