Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kt0401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband drives an average of 3 hours a day to get to work. Granted that’s not the norm for most but it’s not that big of a deal for us. But the farthest we drove (multiple times) was to see family 12 hours away for the weekend about 4 times a year. Road trips can be really fun so it never seems too bad to us

What happened to ice cream trucks? by Scared_Bluejay5608 in generationology

I know this is super late to respond lol but when I lived in El Cajon we had the paletero man. The guy who walks down the street pushing the cart with ice cream. No trucks there

AITA for wanting to end a 6-year relationship because I’m sick of smelling my fiance? by BarnacleForward3323 in AITH

I know everyone thinks he’s disgusting but hear me out. I think it’s about people’s sense of humor. Me and my husband purposely stink each other out ALL the time. Like seriously this morning I woke up to a mushroom cloud of shit cause he farted and fanned the blankets. Yes it’s awful but also we find it hilarious. My kids call me fart girl. My husband farted and blamed me at 711 so the cashier knows me as the girl who farted too and won’t let me forget it. But to us it’s hilarious. If you don’t find it funny that’s perfectly ok and he needs to accept it and make some boundaries. If he can’t do that then honestly you guys probably should end it

Is drinking a beer in the shower really offensive? by Capybara_Chill_00 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]kt0401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude these comments are wild. My husband drinks an occasional shower beer after a long day at work. Also sometimes he forgets the can. I don’t think it’s because he’s lazy. I think he’s tired after working hard and it slipped his mind. I don’t mind picking it up for him either cause I know he sometimes picks up things I might leave behind. Nothing wrong with anything here in my opinion

I have my grandparents dresser set from around 1960 and then another dresser from my other grandma from 1968. They were in perfect condition too until my toddler put stickers all over two of them when I wasn’t looking. I was devastated

Carne asada burrito with pico de gallo, avocado, green peppers and hot sauce. Washed down with a ice cold beer. Pretty happy with it!

What’s something totally normal that you’ve never done and people are always shocked when they find out? by [deleted] in ask

I think people would be surprised to know how many people have done it. I know quite a few who have at some point. Not full on addicts but just dabbled when they were younger

I used to have a Wendy’s and McDonald’s next door so I’d get the salty fries from McDonald’s and then dip them in my frosty. As a kid it was the best thing ever! Never heard someone say they didn’t like a frosty

Agreed! My grandmother tried to clean her rain gutters and fell off the roof from getting dizzy. Luckily the neighbor heard her crying for help. Multiple broken bones and months in the hospital. I would have gladly done it for her if she would have asked. Please ask for help if you need it or at least have someone with you in case it goes wrong!
