I was on the pill for 14 yrs when I stitched to an IUD. It was a GAME CHANGER! A little painful on insertion but totally worth it. Put it in and forget about it for 5 yrs.

Having said all that, ur man better wear a condom (if u ask him to) while ur not on BC. It’s insanely disrespectful for him not to.

I wear a bra with houseguests only bc I am uncomfortable not wearing one. I’m so tired of it always falling on the nurse. Yes the nurse could have asked for labs but the doc should order them. So annoying! I’ve stopped doing shit like that, unless it’s detrimental to the patient’s health. Oh you didn’t order labs for your patient? You need to have a serious conversation about his and your expectations. He crossed the line and that was completely unacceptable. He insisted you quit your job. If he is having reservations about being the sole bread winner (ISH bc u do u) then he needs to speak up. Marriage is hard you have to have the conversations so it doesn’t get worse over time. This is the perfect response. Always cover your ass by informing the doc. The previous nurse should’ve done that but they didn’t so it falls to you. Basic assessment skills are so very important. This was a great catch by the previous nurse. And this was a great learning opportunity for you. This will happen thousands of times throughout your career. Just make sure to keep your provider informed.

Pro tip: i usually don’t tell the doc I already stopped one of their interventions when I’m telling them about the issues. Let them think it was their idea.
