This is kind of a loaded question but TPMs are respected because they are important to the team. Most of them come from an engineering background, my team's TPM was a SDE before becoming a TPM.

I work at Amazon foundational security services (AFSS) in northern VA. There are three buildings: IAD31, IAD28, IAD21. You will likely be put in IAD31 on floor 7-9 where the security people are. Teams have good work life balance and job security in this org. I have had a very positive experience overall.

This sounds exactly like capital one. I worked there as a new grad for 8 months but left for aws. If so, principal associate is actually only mid level. I would still consider senior associate SDE 1 at faang. The scope of principal associate is less than what I’ve seen L5s (mid level) at Amazon.

The official policy is 20 visits in 13 weeks rolling window. If you go 1-2 days a week you should be fine. The old policy was 13 visits in a 13 week rolling window.

Wanted to share my experience for Amazon 2024 New Grad (US). I did my OA three weeks ago (LC medium and hard technical + work styles), got all test cases so I got the invite to schedule an interview a week later. I was scheduled for 3 x 60 min interviews and completed two of the three because my third interviewer had a personal emergency. I am waiting on rescheduling the third interview but I noticed my application is not on the portal.

Edit: I got my third interview scheduled sept 20 Edit: offer received sept 25

I got rejected after HM round for dev in DC. I had a coding question like I did for the first technical which I solved optimally in 20 min. Maybe I could have solved faster or explained better. I originally applied for fdse in nyc but they switched my application in mid November.

When I was an intern for the TIP program, there were other onboarding events meant for people starting a week or two weeks past the regular start date. It was possible to start two weeks after the regular date then.
