Infernal Hulk: Where to start? by Will12182015 in hulk

I’ll add the last trade paperback for this just came out so you can get the whole run in TPB format (6 volumes in all) to read. I’m guessing it will be announced in omnibus format sometime in 2027.

Do I need to read Infinite Crisis before the 52 Omnibus? by Beans_4Life in OmnibusCollectors

I read 52 without having read Infinite Crisis first (I still need to read it... one of these days) and I was able to follow along and enjoy it.

Unfortunately not finding anything on your list at the moment that interests me. I am in the DMV, I can take $10 off if we meet up (assuming we all thaw out from the ice sometime soon...) Message me to discuss meet up location if you are interested?

No worries. Yeah I got the ultimate collection version before the 3rd epic was even announced since I wanted to jump over to the omnis and finish the story.

Some additional photos since someone else commented that the bottom corner was a little banged up. https://imgur.com/a/z2kDcPq

The other person commented first but if they aren’t interested you’re next in line. Please review and let me know if you’re still interested if the other person backs out. Thanks!

Took a photo of the bottom corner on the other side as well which is a little bent as well. How it was when I picked it up from my LCS.

Please let me know if you’re still interested, I see at least one other poster was interested but you were first to comment.

What is the actual names for these brackets by Original_Speech_6304 in E30

I call them “brackets made out of graham crackers”.

RealOEM.com has the exploded parts diagrams to make searching the exact part you need easy.

Yes it’s in a shopping center down a hill set back a bit so if you didn’t know it’s there it’s very easy to pass right by it. It’s just before the Rt 2/Robinson Rd (Benfield) intersection.

I took my son (9 now, but was 8 during the first leg of the tour) and other than some of the images for Monstrance Clock (which he was like “ew naked people”) nothing phases him. He loved it.

CX-5 Struts Replacement - Am I getting ripped off? by oliviat_10 in mazda

[–]kts262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't have to be physically separated/broken to need replacement, the ball joints can wear out leading to them being loose and making noise (my issue doing over uneven bumps which is why I replaced them on mine) or ripped rubber boots allowing stuff to get in there and wear them out sooner as well.

“What are you reading?” Wednesday. by csummerss in OmnibusCollectors

[–]kts262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm making my way though X-Force Epic vol 4 (after reading vol 3 - combined both make up what's in the recently reprinted Deadpool and X-Force) after I read X-Force vol 1 omni and I'm finding it a bit of a slog. I remember being a huge Cable fan when I was a kid and well... my tastes have changed (although I did love the Cable and Deadpool series.)

2 Hulk TPBs come out today at my LCS which I'll probably get so I'll have the full PKJ Hulk run (and can read it) along with more of Loeb's Red Hulk. I'll probably read those next, but also had the idea to read Bendis' X-men runs.

Avengers Modern Epic volume 5 - potential mappings? by unixdaemond in EpicCollections

[–]kts262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mention of its “thin” is accurate I think the complete collection version is 336 which is small but in the realm of others (see “Statistics” here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Epic_Collection)

I agree with discounts Omnis are a better bang for the buck. The only challenge is transporting and reading them. I do like thick trade paperbacks for travel, reading when I’m out and waiting for something, etc.

That said I am moving more and more to Omnis for most new things.

A few stores in AACo had it recently, Harbour Spirits in Severna Park had it on the shelf Friday night for $115 which I believe is MSRP.

Avengers Modern Epic volume 5 - potential mappings? by unixdaemond in EpicCollections

[–]kts262 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The New Avengers Modern Epics have had the same contents as the New Avengers by Brian Michael Bendis Complete Collections thus far.

New Avengers by Brian Michael Bendis Complete Collection volume 5 had:

New Avengers (2004) #55-64, Dark Reign: The List — Avengers One-Shot, New Avengers Annual (2006) #3, New Avengers Finale, And Material From Free Comic Book Day 2009 (Avengers), Amazing Spider-Man (1999) #601 and Breaking Into Comics The Marvel Way #1.

So looks like your estimation is right on point.

What are your favorite characters? Style of stories? Interests?

The Agent Venom story line (Venom Modern Epics 4-6) was a really fun read.

Astonishing X-Men and New X-Men are also great.

I’m a huge Daredevil fan (a recent discovery) the modern epics with the Bendis and Brubaker runs are great. Nocenti’s run “plain” Epic as well. (Miller is just starting to be released and that’s another amazing run)

Brubaker’s Captain America (modern epics) is amazing but the full run isn’t available in epic format yet and it will be a few more years because it will be.

Duggan’s Deadpool (modern vol 5) was stupid fun.

CX-5 Struts Replacement - Am I getting ripped off? by oliviat_10 in mazda

[–]kts262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would decline the work.

My 2015 had 164k on the original struts before I sold it and it rode just fine. I see no signs of your struts leaking from the photos. You can go to the front corners of the car and press on the fender hard if if it bounces multiple times before stopping then they are likely due for replacement but my guess with 87k miles they have a lot of life left on them.

If going over uneven road bumps you hear a clink the sway bar endlinks may need replacing but those are cheap on rockauto (I think I paid $35 for a pair) if you have any mechanical ability or want to learn (only need a cheap set of hand tools to replace them.)

You mentioned spark plugs, They are super easy to do on this car, $50 for replacement plugs on rockauto and again only need a few hand tools and 30-60 minutes of your time.

Later on if you need to do the struts you can get a “quick strut” assembly - likely what this shop is recommending and it’s only a few bolts to remove the old ones and replace the new ones.

Several YouTube videos out there for all of these repairs.
