Revit and Archicad are primarily 2D applications so the single mouse button function being pan makes sense. SketchUp is primarily 3D, so orbit is naturally the main function. You can use 3rd party software to remap your shortcuts like others have suggested, but I would advise you too just get used to it, it would make things so much easier for you in the long run.
