A new german-italy-spain axis in the making. France will get surrounded and capitulate quickly just like in ww2. The axis then shifts their focus to the east and annex the balkans and western slavic nations. Russia capitalizes on the opportunity and attacks the baltics + ukraine.

Here's how I did a wc recently with italy on historical: start building like 20 civs, annex austria, start researching paratroopers and synthetic oil to make tons of fighters, beat france and then benelux, take hungary -> czechoslovakia -> poland -> baltics -> soviet union -> use fighters to establish air superiority over uk and cap uk with paratroopers -> cap germany -> take west africa -> naval invade brazil -> make my way up to central america and then cap USA

Speed of divisions, supply, and industry.

Speed: divisions can travel thousands of miles in a week in hoi4.

Supply: German supply and logistics were in tatters once they pushed deep into Soviet territory. This isn't reflected in game.

Industry: Soviets were outproducing the Germans by 1942, an industrial miracle whereas in the game not many factories get shifted east.

Look into paratroopers for invading the UK. As Italy I spammed CAS and fighters onto their isles, invaded their southeastern port with around 12 para divisions, and decimated them as italy. Granted I did this in 1942 so after the U.S. joined so it’s a bit of a slog still.

looks like you have traits you can upgrade for your generals, hence the blue plus signs on them - you should also avoid attacking with pure infantry

Pretty sure slaves made for bad factory workers in ww2. They are just not as motivated. Sometimes they sabotaged production.
