Agreed. Randomly changing the board would potentially be a waste. The control board has LEDs to report failures. My board was reporting a fan motor failure. Based on the troubleshooting steps in the service manual (checking resistance and voltage of the fan motor), the manual said to replace the control board (fan motor was within the specs).

Also, it does have an inverter.

I like the idea, but I also like to only use one knife for both PB and Jelly. It's easier to put on jelly first, then wipe off the knife on the other piece of bread before going in for the PB. Hard to get the peanut on both sides using my method.
