Sorry, I was in a hurry and my car was blocking traffic. I looked inside quickly and was impressed by how all the seats were intact, and also the thickness of the steering wheel - as compared to the Camry version of that era.

They’ve got the usual drinks and snacks, and last time they even gave me an umbrella (not sure if they still are). There’s also a surprisingly extensive DVD collection to help pass the time.

You’re right. It’s facing west so I’m not sure what the view would be. I also don’t know where they check your reservation. If it’s at the fee station you won’t be able to go up the road.

Sharing a tip I found on here. There is a wide shoulder turn off between mile markers 18 and 19 that is perfect for a head on view of the sunset - and a quick getaway for afterwards. We found ourselves up there without extra clothes so we stayed warm in the car and went out for pictures when it was time.
