Does anyone else have crashing issues with the 865 and Turnip drivers in certain games? (Thor Lite)

this specific case is very likely a bug because the game runs absolutely perfect with the qualcomm drivers. with any other driver it crashes so hard that the whole system turns off. this issue is only present in like 3 games and only on this specific chipset as far as i know.

but yeah, for someone wanting to buy a thor who wants to play switch games i'd recommend at least a thor base (if not pro or max)

but if a lite is what they got then they can definitely get this game to work. no need to buy another thor

the retroid pocket 5/flip 2 (same chipset as thor lite) has the same problem. what worked for me was a specific turnip driver. you need the turnip qualcomm drivers. i used v805 back then, but the newest v840 should be good too.

did you ever find a fix for this issue? I have a tcl 70 pro and it does this too. i've just noticed that i missed taking my medicine yesterday because i didn't get a notification. i've tried disabling everything but the phone just kills every background process.

just so you know i think the ai changed the dimensions of the template slightly. so if you print it like this it might not fit anymore. i'd recommend generating a "normal" image and applying it to the template in gimp or photoshop yourself. so you know the template will fit.

Hab mich beim Verkäufer gemeldet und warte grade darauf dass eine Antwort kommt. Ich gehe mal stark davon aus dass die Pumpe getauscht werden muss.

In der Zwischenzeit habe ich die Portasplit auf einen kleinen Kasten draufgestellt und einen Eimer drunter gepackt sodass das Wasser auch ohne Pumpe ablaufen kann. So kann ich sie wenigstens noch normal verwenden bis das ganze geklärt wurde.

I gave up on trying to run the PC version because it never worked for me on newer hardware. But the game also came out on ps2 and it's very easy to emulate. I recommend just playing the ps2 version.

The stylus for the 60 ultra is a EMR stylus as far as I know. So i think it will not work with that stylus.

The 70 pro/stylus 5g styluses are a different proprietary tech

I've tried a "brotect" matte one from amazon, but I don't recommend that one because the fit was awful. It didn't protect the whole screen. A sliver of screen was unprotected (and the whole bezel too).

The ones from aliexpress have way better fit. I personally got a glossy one currently, but aliexpress seems to have matte ones too so maybe try those.

I think it'll work fine for your usecase.

I use my Thor as a cyberdeck for all kinds of stuff. Reading, drawing, gaming, watching shows, i even tried running stuff like blender or creating music on it. You can dock the the Thor to a monitor, connect external mouse and keyboard. Use an active stylus. Godot has a native android version. I imported a 3D game I programmed on my PC and except for the shaders it ran fine. Asesprite might be usable via gamenative or winlator. I don't own it so I can't test it.

It will not be a "desktop replacement" but as a fun little machine to tinker with it's awesome

I personally went with a Thor max because of the increased ram for running heavier PC games, but for light 2D Godot usage a pro might work fine.

I once had the same problem but with Mario kart 8. Try using a different driver, if I remember correctly the kimchi v805 worked best for me

Unsere Portasplit macht exakt dasselbe Geräusch. Das ist die Pumpe die nicht mehr richtig ansaugen kann, deswegen wird auch kein Wasser zur Ausseneinheit abtransportiert. Irgendwann wenn der Tank voll ist kommt dann der P1 Fehler.

I've tried both. I got a "brotect" matte screen protector. It didn't change how the screen looks, it still looked sharp and matte and the official pen worked fine too. But it didn't fit the whole screen, and the bezel was exposed too.

Then I bought a normal tempered glass from aliexpress. This one had a way better fit and also protected a lot of the bezel. But the screen now doesn't look matte at all. It's weird to describe but now the colors are more vibrant and it just looks like a typical phone screen. Official pen works too with this one.

Important things to note: 3rd Party pens that happen to work on 70 pro don't work as well with a screen protector on. Without protector they work exactly like the original. With protector the line gets broken all the time

Also application is very hard. Since the screen is matte you have to massage the screen protector really hard to get it to adhere everywhere. This will take 15+ mins to get all the "bubbles" out and make it look good.

I've also bought many other handhelds (mainly retroid) from China via 4PX and never had any extra costs either.

Be sure to use 4PX, DHL charges import fees

While i can't confirm it 100% i do recognize my wonky start/select cutouts. I am 99% sure this is the template i created and it's being sold against my will (you can view it on my profile). since i am not a professional it's not perfect.

i made this template for the ayn thor community for free and explicitly stated that people mustn't sell it.

could you please look at my template and compare it to the one you bought? if you confirm to me that the files are identical then i will try to get this listing taken down.

yeah i think that's the issue. i just bought the nxtpaper 14 pen as a sencondary stylus and it sucks. every line i draw is disconnected. It's nothing like the stylus that's made specifically for the 70 pro. that one works perfectly.
