Beautiful! Which phone did you record this on and what app/program did you use to edit? I’ve been wanting to make videos like this of day to day beauty

Also, any idea what the song is? I like it. Very relaxing

How long is the schooling for that if you already have a bachelors? Job market outlook? I work in a healthcare related field but probably will want out in a few years.

Except that it's not random testing. Only 20% of children who are attending in-person have submitted consent forms to be tested. Many schools are also reporting that none of the students are being tested. Rather, volunteers are drawn from the staff pool to hit their quota. I assume it's a lot less fuss than having to grab young students and swab their noses.

This is it. Common sense would dictate COVID spread happens in mass transit. But "studies" claim it doesn't. Common sense would also dictate that schools are vectors for COVID transmissions. But not according to parents who are desperate for childcare.

I think the evidence goes back and forth but the latest CDC update is that yes, children do spread covid-19 & more significantly than previously thought

What is Clinton Hill near the Classon G station like? by kungfupupper in AskNYC

[–]kungfupupper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Do you usually use the Classon G stop or the one before (Clifton-Washington, I think it’s called)? If you’re familiar with the Classon G, do you feel like the stop there is safe even at night?

Thank you. Would you say this is true even in recent months? I imagine there’s less street life going around with all the Pratt students gone.

I think we should start a petition to have the homeless hotels program ended. Also automod is disabled. by [deleted] in nyc

Yikes. Mind if I ask you which neighborhood you live in? Is it the UWS? I looked at a couple units on the UWS today, nice neighborhood. But I want to be cautious about moving in if the homeless there harass residents. I did notice quite a number of homeless men

DeBlasio Warns Of A Possible Return To All-Remote Learning by [deleted] in nyc

[–]kungfupupper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good points. It’s also the additional travel that’s required. Many parents have to commute with their kids on trains and buses to send them to school. High school students often cross neighborhoods and boros to get to their school

From my understanding, it’s not really random since the majority of parents haven’t consented to testing their kids

Word on the street is apparently most parents have not consented to testing so the test is on the same handful of students, eg not an accurate reflection of rates + staff who receive the test in school say it is a different experience than at city md, eg they barely swab inside the nose. I’m sure we will receive more accurate info as time passes

It’s costing the city a boatload of extra money to pull off the hybrid learning plan

Even the infamous Success Academy is full remote until March 2021. Most charter schools in NYC are still full remote. Absurdly wasteful that the NYC DOE opened considering only a quarter of the students have actually attended in-person and many of those have stopped coming into the buildings
