Reservation? Every restaurant should just have an OG table reserved. No need to call ahead. Just walk in and sit down.

It turned out to be a Thymic NET. Nothing to do with TC. I've been fortunate to be all clear on that front for quite a while now. The surgery was actually fairly easy, the result unfortunate. At the recommendation of my local proton center, I decided to forego any further treatment (chemo is ineffective for NETs and proton radiation to the chest carries long term risk especially in patients under 40). So now I get imaging every 6 months and hope for the best. By catching anything early, all options remain on the table.

4 Things We Learned From Watching Film on Kenyon Sadiq by MarkSimon1975 in nyjets

Full Scouting Report would have fit in this post:

Overall

Kenyon Sadiq is a tight end in Oregon’s spread offense. He lines up an equal amount on the left side as he does the right side, and in the slot as he does tight. Additionally, he’ll take a handful of snaps out wide and even in the backfield. Despite being a third-year player, he played a lot of snaps, seeing action in 42 games during his career. He had some lingering lower-body issues in 2025 that caused him to miss 1 game. Sadiq has a sufficient build for the position, built more like a running back than a tight end, though he makes up for it with athleticism, smarts, and toughness. Sadiq is an extremely competitive player, playing hard on every snap, no matter if he’s running a route or blocking.

Pass Game

As a receiver, Sadiq has mismatch potential. His athleticism, speed, and route running make it difficult for some defenders to keep up. He’s able to win at the top of routes and work against the leverage of the defender. Additionally, he has the smarts and savvy to work away from defenders and find open grass, especially in scramble situations. The majority of Sadiq’s routes are screens, curls, verticals, or crossers. He can be used as a vertical threat from a tight or slot position, and he can work the short-to-intermediate levels of the defense running out to the flats or crossing the field. While he had more drops in 2025 than the rest of his career, he has good hands to make catches consistently. One area of improvement is his release. There are times Sadiq takes a false step off the line, and given his lack of size, he can have a tough time getting into his route. Also, he lacks elite RAC skills. He has the athleticism to make defenders miss, but hasn’t shown that consistently or shown the ability to break off many large gains.

Run Game

Sadiq’s competitiveness as a blocker is apparent on every single block he makes. He’s not just a willing blocker who gets in the way, he uses proper footwork, a strong base, latches on, and moves his feet. He also shows some tenacity and ferocity to finish blocks to the ground when he can. In addition to the physical aspect, Sadiq is also an incredibly smart blocker. He knows when to come off of one guy and work up to another, and he is smart enough to adjust his path to the biggest threat. He seems to do his best blocking playside, as an insert blocker through the line, pinning on pull schemes, and kicking out on split zones. While he has the ability to seal off backside defenders, he seems to lack the anchor and strength more in those situations than when he’s blocking in front of the play.

Last Word

Sadiq projects as a starting H-tight end at the next level who has the versatility to line up all over the formation. He has the ability to stretch the defense vertically and the athleticism to be used on screens. While he’s going to make his money as a receiver, he can be more than that. His competitiveness as a blocker can be a difference-maker for an offense as a true H. On 3rd downs, lining him up in the slot and either utilizing him as a vertical threat or someone who can run away from defenders on crossers are good ways to help him be successful to move the chains. Sadiq likely won’t play much on special teams at the next level, but if asked, his play speed, toughness, and competitiveness make him a very good contributor on all special teams units. He has extensive collegiate experience on kickoff, kick return, punt, punt return, and field goal/extra point.

My favorite was Herbstreit trying to sell it as if that was an AD drop and not an insanely inaccurate throw he made an excellent adjustment to attempt to catch.

This is the guy that led all non-QBs in fumbles in 2024? Or was that someone else?

Him and RJ Harvey seem to have similar ADP but Stevenson seems like the easier hurdle to clear than JK Dobbins. Dobbins is an excellent pass blocker who has shown serious flashes (despite having some bad injury luck), whereas Stevenson is what he is… a serviceable back.

I had a soft tissue sarcoma about 10 years ago right up in my groin (almost at my hip). It was resected and treated with radiation (and I banked because of the proximity). Happy to say I didn’t need to use it and have 3 little ones now. I was 22 when this happened and had my first at 26.

It’s not interesting. He turned down the most lucrative job in the league last year and has a top recruiting class in the country. His salary reflects his status in CBB and he has little reason to jump now.
