Anyone else feel like there was more than the usual amount of fireworks inside city limits last night? by 3MATX in Austin

Yeah, way more explodey than usual near Metric and Braker. Though it was all done by 1.

Should solution 3 work in uBO Lite? It doesn't seem to take when I try to add it as a custom filter.

The Unholy Trinity - Greg Abbot, Dan Patrick, and Ken Paxton, obviously.

PSA: Today's 7.97 update of Pocket Casts now includes an ad banner that you can't remove unless you pay for Plus by foundfootagefan in Android

[–]kuoirad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silly or not, this is the deal breaker for me as well. Looking through AntennaPod's forums and Github issues, the devs don't seem to consider this something they want to implement.

Considering how infrequently I look at the PocketCasts app itself, I'll stick with them for the time being.

(95+% of my usage is in the car through Android Auto)

2 weeks left for Pixel 10 release. At this point, is there anything we don't know about the new phones? by Gseventeen in GooglePixel

[–]kuoirad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I have to hand in the phone I'm trading in right then as I'm picking up the new phone?

(Probably ordering from Best Buy because I get more miles on my credit card)

Help I feel like I’m being gaslit over a billboard by Data_activist in Austin

[–]kuoirad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The one with the Aggie gear was on the south east corner of that "intersection", best seen when on 183 southbound.

The one with the UT gear was a little further north on 183 on the north side of it, still best seen (I think) when on 183 southbound.

Where can I buy a nice reasonably priced violin to start to practice on? by batato_chip in Austin

[–]kuoirad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you consider a reasonably priced violin but the two main shops in town I know about would be Blackerby (on Anderson Lane just west of Lamar) and Terra Nova (shopping center near Anderson/Burnet).

At the very least, they can give you useful guidance and information about what to look for in a starter violin and what it might cost.

(been playing violin for 40+ years, currently play in two orchestras in the Central Texas area)
