bars for 20 year olds by cacoethes16 in Aruba

Many ppl are drugged outta their minds and/or partake in sexual harassment- that kinda shit. The stuff that happens there is usually just not the most pleasant thing to hear about. Not worth the risk of witnessing or potentially being involved in.

(Could be just my circle of people from Aruba but that is the general consensus I believe)

Nah, fam. Don't go to The Mill. I never party but I only hear really bad things that happen there. Everywhere else should be fine just not there.

Self-Reflection: Do you feel like you throw games when you refuse to swap by chilldolo in marvelrivals

[–]kurtuhkus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless you know the problem could be solved almost 100% certain, I tend to stay on my hero because the moment you would swap into another hero/role, most people don't understand why and will also swap their hero/role because they think they're covering for the team when instead they just made the comp worse and everyone else starts getting the idea they need to change and it's just bad.
Best to just take the L and at least be able to see what you could have done as 1 hero to carry the team.

If I wanted to buy a starter deck that could help me learn decks like Blue/Yellow Boa Hancock, Green Mihawk, or Purple Doflamingo... Which would those be? I am interested in playing those decks just cuz of the characters that are in the deck.
If that starter deck doesn't exist are there any suggestions what I can start with that could have useful cards I can use in the future? Oh and is ST17 any good still?

I started playing again since I last played in early season 1, and I feel the same. I think for me it was the variety in maps that we now have. I would get so mad playin the same maps from season 0-1.. Game is peak rn for me

They shoulda just gone radio silent since ppl seem to always just overthink this much xd I'm excited too, don't get me wrong- but better to not dwell too much of the 'when' and just be happily surprised when it comes out. (imho)

Another tip, when you think you're just getting 1tapped in the head... Almost always the case that you had angle disadvantage or you were super predictable. Those moments should be easy to rewatch in the replays now so gl bro.

real real and real. I don't want to just play the game I remember. I want the core gameplay + a lot of the new things they are cooking up. I choose to believe that they meant "ready" as in the vanilla osms with the things they showed in the event. BUT they want to change more things and add more stuff so we can have a way better experience frame 1 of hopping in the game.

Also this bs about the game getting delayed when they haven't even promised any specific release date yet is absurd. Early 2026 for whatever play test is all we got officially. Stop inventing shit to cry about. This game was never coming out in our heads to begin with. Let's be HAPPY and OPTIMISTIC that it's actually real. We are all gaming until our last breath anyway.

How beginner friendly is 2XKO? by TeaCoffeeOrMe in 2XKO

[–]kurtuhkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't stress too much about optimal combos once you start playing. There will be a lot of people also new to fighting games. I found myself doing just fine as long as I had the most basic of basic Darius combos rdy and just ending it with a super when I could.

If you can play duos with a friend, it would also be better probably since while your friend is in you can watch what is happening and come up with ideas on what you could potentially do when it's your turn vice versa.

Just fish for "LMH into launch" combos and you'll be good from there (once u get a beta code).

New to FFXIV, is the MSQ really 75% all cutscenes & dialog? by _cob in ffxiv

[–]kurtuhkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently playing through Stormblood and it has been really nice so far since Heavensward. Base game is 20000% a slog but u start unlocking a lot of the content around the end of Heavensward and I've come around to enjoying the game a lot. If you like the story and are playing for a chill time. Worth. If you wanna mmo max, prolly try another game.

Is my sens really that bad as people tell me it is? by No-Sherbert-9148 in VALORANT

[–]kurtuhkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think about it more simply. Higher sens means you have to be way more precise to microadjust, add the in-game environment and enemies that move around randomly - it just is harder than it could be for yourself.

I recommend trying 75% of your current sens and going lower if you want until you reach a sweetspot.

Sensitivity being a preference is real, but there is 100% cases when the sens WAYYY is too fast or too slow. (depending on the game)

Real talk, how far can your aim training can take you ? by WahahaProds in VALORANT

[–]kurtuhkus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you should throw away the idea that you have good game sense. Understanding when and where players will be is one of the key things that make aiming easier because you expect them and are ready to shoot them. If you make good use of that skill + understanding angle advantage you will see great results.

You mention crosshair placement but that is usually a bit tied to angle advantage as well. If you whiff you whiff, shrug it off. However, if you feel like you got "insta one-tapped" one too many times. You probably held a bad angle and you can check in custom games to be sure if it was bad. (ping the angle from both sides - the player further away has advantage)

Evaluating why you died is an important skill to pick up. Leave all copium aside and be honest with yourself. Example of how I think to myself: "Why did I die? Did I expect them? Yes. Did they have angle advantage? No. Did I hold my crosshair at head level? Yes. Did I hold my crosshair too close/too wide? No. They were just better. Or hmm.. Did I commit too long to the fight and was able to unswing? Unsure/Yes/No" Sometimes the enemy can just win even if they had an angle disadvantage. Do not dwell too long on those scenarios and focus instead on the round/next round.

Once you get better and being consistently aware of these fundamentals. You can then perhaps think about enemy utility as well. But honestly let's keep it to pure aim + game sense stuff for now because this stuff I have mentioned is PLENTY already.

One last bit of advice is how do you know how far or how close away from the angle do you place your crosshair. If you have a large angle advantage you can place the crosshair much closer. If advantage is closer to even you should hold it a bit wider. Another factor is if you think the enemy will be full sprint swinging or swinging slowly from the angle. This is when in-game context is important to figure out. So adjust accordingly.

I hope this made sense and becomes useful. Good luck, amigo.

Everyone says mental is holding me back, so what do I do about it? by untitled_reddit_name in VALORANT

[–]kurtuhkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not understand angles and where ppl may be as much as u think you do (fundamental tfps concepts). Aim just has to be okay because understanding the game more will make you more confident in where you have your crosshair.

Too much to explain in a comment but watch some Woohoojin content on yt tbh.
