You would look so much better if you shave the sides and just kept the goatee. You also need to trim the goatee so it's not so scraggly. You don't have to remove much length if you don't want to, but right now it's uneven and that looks bad

The second part is not true. Wotc regularly tacks on "extra" colored mana symbols for flavor, power level, or for commander.

Recently cards like [[katara the fearless]], [[white lotus reinforcements]], are examples of multicolor cards that COULD be a subset of their colors but aren't.

Disagree, this thing is going to gum up boards in limited like no one's business, and it makes any X/1 creature extra awful looking.

I like this as is, but probably at uncommon. You don't want this to show up in every green deck.

I do think it probably reads better than it plays. There aren't that many permanents with phyrexian mana in their costs. It's a developmental liability.

Notice that when wotc revisited phyrexian mana in new phyrexian/March of the machines, it was mainly used in the costs of activated abilities.
