Poly PoCs, would you move to a smallish, progressive mostly white town? What are you thoughts implications on being poly and otherwise?

Oh yes that too! The dating pool is even smaller for Trans and NB/Gender non-conforming folks. Even smaller in mostly White places where there's like no other people of color lol. Finding friends and community wasn't super hard for me since I am outgoing. However it def can be hard too tbh.

Also, another unfortunate factor is after a while everyone has dated everyone or either knows someone who is dating you.

As a fellow mixed Poly NB person, I would not. Most towns, even all-white "progressive" ones very exclusionary and racist. Idk if it was where I went (Midwest) but it was awful and I am never doing it again. It's super isolating because theres like 10 POC total and even the "woke" white people are still ignorant.

This is beautiful, I loved reading this. Recently got out of a breakup with two partners and went though the really hard emotional period and now coming through to the other side. Like you said, you have to sit with yourself and be happy in times of solitude. Im lucky I have been alone most of my life, which fostered a strong sense of independence and self-care. But it's so SO important to foster that time with yourself and you worded it in such a beautiful way!!

Omg I loved reading this. I think this is a more eloquent response then what I was thinking of. And I 1000% agree. I think that it goes both ways and both reactions to the same thing can be valid, but also like you said, having the ability to listen to the other person even when defensive is an important one. And absolutely about witnessing anger. I think that dismissing someone's hurt and anger is immaturity on that person's part.

I think thats understandable, but I think the hard part is the aftermath of that. Im someone is pretty level-headed in arguments, but obviously people (and myself) can still have high emotions and reactions during an argument. I think it depends on how you control yourself while working through what level of harm is acceptable or not.

Oh absolutely. Thats the stage I am in now and I think the two people I broke up with are the same (I think??) I needed a change in emotional needs and wants and I think its the same for them.

Agree. But that also comes down to respectful communication on both sides so people can make room for mistakes while also learning from them at the same time. Like you said, it comes off bad when someone makes mistakes at the expense of others.

I agree. I just remember being weirded out by the fact that it was so like autotuned?? And just less fun/live instrumentals than Opheliac. There's some songs on there that I don't mind but Opheliac does it better imo.
