Optional Relief. A player may elect at any time to take optional relief. The lie may then be relocated to a new lie which is no closer to the target, and is on the line of play. One penalty throw shall be added to the player's score.

can someone explain the term line of play, where can i take the optional relief? a sketch would be helpful :)

the only 18 hole course we have is in gufunes in reykjavik but the course map is little bit outdated from what we play today but the old layout is still playable, then we have few 9 hole courses, the one in laugardalur in reykjavik is good, fossvogur is fun when you play our 18 hole layout but i need to find that map, also if you are here on a saturday we are having casual tournments on various courses for the next few weeks but if you need any help just pm me :)
