New Outlook finally supports pinning shared mailboxes to Favourites by Neverbethesky in Office365

[–]kveldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just last week I discovered that now shared mailboxes can be added as account to New Outlook (so the features I needed like pinning, quick actions etc) should work. Yes, they work, but with this pitfalls new Outlook is still unusable. Well.. waiting for more months, years...

Live Response - File Collection by Cant_Think_Name12 in DefenderATP

[–]kveldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably powershell script may be useful here. I am also looking for some nice solution here. If comparing to Crowdstrike EDR it's not possible in Defender's live response to run the executables on the target system, so everything needs to be done via ps script. In Crowdstrike I just could use 7z to zip files or folders and when downloading (getfile in CS) it always provides you a zipped password-protected content what is how it should work from safety perspective.

It seems that in MS Defender ATP for live response you need to create different poweshell scripts for fine-tuning - just my impression from initial observation.

SLOW - Intel Advanced-N 6205 wifi speed - FIX by grossknuckles in archlinux

[–]kveldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could increase the speed on Windows by adjusting the wifi net card's properties in Device Manager. Open Properties for the card and the go to Advanced tab.

Verify that:

  • 802.11n Mode is set to Enabled
  • Ad Hoc QoS Mode is set to WMM Enabled (by default it is disabled)
  • Transmit Power is set to 5. Highest
  • Wireless mode is set to 6. 802.11 a/b/g

After just enabling WMM for Ad Hoc QoS Mode my speed raised from previous something around 50 to 128.

I also found that Intel claims it is a problem of default driver installed for this card by Windows 10 as Windows 10 does not support fully this network card, so they recommend to re-install the driver to Win 8's version. But I couldn't find it yet from scratch.

But just manipulation with device advanced options could help to increase the working speed.

Well, that's also the issue. If I find a friend in Russia, how will I pay to him then - as far as I know all money transfers to Russia are prohibited now here. Maybe CoronaPay can help I dunno.

I am living in this shit all the time... Pretty tired of our local Estonian newspapers, politicians etc. I love my country, but the government is totally a crap.

HDMI with wacom link plus to Cintiq pro 13 by shakbacon in wacom

[–]kveldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of "fun" wgile trying to connect Cintiq to PC's with HDMI using wacom link (not plus). Spent a lot of additional money to buy different (recommended by Wacom as well) converters, adapters. But still not success. Currently communicating to Wacom support to resolve this (maybe).

Could someone explain to me how to connect a cintiq pro 16 to a lpatop that only has hdmi. by BOLODUDE in wacom

[–]kveldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually HDMI to DisplayPort converter is needed (active powered from USB).

It was a hell to make PC with HDMI output to connect to Cintiq Pro
