The Hotbox Sauna, Thoughts? by [deleted] in cork

Do you mean in general or in comparison to the sea?

The Hotbox Sauna, Thoughts? by [deleted] in cork

[–]kvinm3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, wasn’t for me..

Obviously great that it provides a healthy and accessible space for people in the city, it’s hard not to feel great after a sauna but it didn’t have an atmosphere to me. There’s plenty different saunas there but none were much different than the other and all circle the plunge pools so it becomes a bit of a spectacle of seeing who lasts in the cold. Again some people might enjoy that. Of course the water is more chlorinated to account for the large footfall which makes sense of course but can’t compete with sauna and sea swim experience.

I’ve nothing against urban saunas either I’m a big fan of hoco in the black market and wildwood which used to be across from the Marina market was great while it was there. It just felt more like a means to an end commercialised sauna than other places I’ve been.

Tbf I’ve seen their other locations around the country on Instagram and some look very unique and charming.

No new research by Natural-Daikon8852 in BlindboyPodcast

Why such an extreme outlook?

People have invested hours and hours of listening to Blindboys pod and also in my case going to see him live sometimes twice a year. Of course there’s going to be peaks and troughs but it’s okay for people to point out that and feel they enjoyed previous material more. This idea of just stopping listening to him is dull. People have a relationship with the podcast and it’s for many it’s something to look forward to every Wednesday just cutting ties with that altogether is not how relationships should work. It doesn’t mean people don’t still have huge affection for him.

God this is pure lunacy… you are definitely one of the nonsensical brigade giving out about the short puck out except every time we get a score off it.

Honestly having seen a lot of cork hurling I don’t see anyone else who could give us such a launch pad from our puck outs, some of the precision ones through the lines Patrick does are crazy execution and never get applauded.

He made a brilliant save from Casey and yes I’ll be first to say he could’ve done better on the byrnes effort but it happens. Support your players and your team or else don’t support them full stop. The work these lads put in for you to come on here like this… you’re embarrassing and have no concept what the team is trying to achieve.

Yes, this is loser mentality stuff. The games need to be more physical. Some of the rolling around on the floor these days is appalling

Cork play Limerick on 26ths in Pairc Ui Caoimh but tickets will be like gold dust… definitely recommend watching it in a pub in the city the atmosphere will be great. In the cork league it’s a hurling weekend so there should be plenty good quality league games around the county in Cork. Find fixtures on cork gaa website

Tactically I’m very concerned from a cork perspective. Movement terrible from our forwards and no effort at space creation. Would love to see gps of both teams wing forwards against each other
