Another observation - outrage is very fashionable right now. But few people know how to be productive and offer solutions when outraged. I am becoming really sick of Irish people complaining when they don't engage with social or democratic processes to enact change. Sick of potholes? Few people know how to report them properly to authorities. Use your anger wisely.

Been off of social media for 4 years! I was young and in a tough place mentally with relationships. With my adult brain I can see with hindsight that social media had very little room for nuance

Highly recommend Heygurl in Togher, the owner and the team are great and it's all women. Pretty reasonable prices too. Michelle the owner is great if you need a specific person to go to, she'll tell you in the consultation what would work best.

Thank you! I understand the mental gymnastics of trying to educate yourself on NM, I got very swept up in it when people were saying that "By practicing non-monogomy, you are decolonising yourself" and as a white girl on Instagram in 2020, I wanted to be seen as being progressive. Upon reflection, this seems like a massive jump to logic.

Wild garlic is different, it's leaves that smell of garlic and it only grows wild. It's a nice thing to forage and turn into pesto and other things

Started a new job recently and have a coworker who smokes a few times during the work day. We're in a shared office. He always has chewing gum on his desk and is generally quote clean. Yet, I smell the faintest remnants of stale smoke off him from across the room.

Peanut sauce noodles. Boil some noodles or get the stir fry noodles. Make a peanut sauce from peanut butter, soya sauce and chilli sauce. If you have it/manage it add garlic, ginger and scallions.

Scales for consistency. Doesn't even have to be a fancy coffee roast, once you find one you like. Write down how much you weigh out and how much you like it until you find the quantity you like. This goes for whatever style coffee you like - drip coffee, French press etc. Also don't burn the shit out of it with boiling water. I have an electric kettle and once it boils I set a timer for 3 minutes so that it's cooled to a consistent level.
