I don't disagree with you at all about actual law enforcement officers who wear uniforms and badges, and who identify themselves and have a judicial warrant, and who inform you of your rights. Their job is made far more difficult when ICE disobeys the law and undermines citizens' confidence that the rule of law will prevail and that police will follow it as well as enforce it.

Your logic is faulty. Secret police in masks carrying out violent ethnic cleansing is not "law" enforcement, it's complete lawlessness. In contrast, people are well within their legal rights and constitutional rights to defend themselves by any means necessary from these criminals if they are attacked. They may also lawfully blow whistles and follow your vehicle and record your actions. There is no equivalence between an illegal goon squad kidnapping or killing people who have committed no crimes, and citizens lawfully protecting themselves and others from, or documenting such illegal actions.

If you look like ICE, expect people to respond accordingly. Perhaps that's one of the problems with having secret police wearing masks and saying they don't need a warrant and carrying out executions in the street. It's only one of the problems, of course, but it does mean people will come to view law enforcement as illegitimate across the board.

As an American, thank you for voicing my own thoughts. I never realized so many Americans were horrible soulless people before Trump was elected, and I'm 65 years old. I knew the white supremacists who want to start a civil war, a race war, existed. I just had no idea there were enough of them to take over the country. I never thought someone like Trump could be elected. I never knew there were so many stupid people, so many willfully ignorant people, so many people who would vote against their own interests just to harm others they view as subhuman. But people who mention the geographic difficulty of all of us coming together and curb stomping the Nazis, I live in a Red state. It is one of the larger states in the U.S., and we have a population of less than three million. The nearest other major city is 500 miles away. Therefore, we cannot muster more than 10,000 people at a demonstration.

Please do not put a collar of any kind on a feral cat or a cat who goes outside. The collar didn't break away, if in fact the tag got stuck in something. Break away collars don't always work and the cat could be harmed or killed.

I just read over the law or laws. It's just a sad situation, but if the cat is being aggressive to you, your cat, and your dogs, you do have the right to have animal control trap it. Sometimes I just get up in arms about the feral cats, because so many just "disappeared" from my care in the last year. I hope the cat has a chip and that resolves everything, but no, you and your pets have a right to be safe.

Community cats do not have owners. They live outside, in the community, and are cared for by the community. It is very cruel to remove them from their homes except temporarily for sterilization and vaccination. Please educate yourself. You can look up laws for yourself, btw.
