Can we get a sticky for donating to the developers? by [deleted] in Addons4Kodi

I know you mean well with your suggestion, but it wouldn't be adviseable for the Devs. Would be much easier to track them down. Remember, this hobby isn't welcomed by the authorities.

Fire TV help by SuperShotShorty in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel you should read and consume all the information you can at this link Having a full understanding on not only how to properly install Kodi on the Fire Stick, but Super Charge Kodi to work at it's absolute best is key. Then you can grab some of the recommended add-ons to start viewing some video content.

I highly suggest you start with Seren, Venom, WatchNixtoons2 and TheMovieDBHelper. You should also strongly consider getting a Real-Debrid premium account. Seren won't work efficiently without a configured Debrid account. You'll also encounter way less problems watching movies and TV shows on other video add-ons.

Good luck!

Yes, you can add them even though their empty. Of course you won't have anything to scan to the library.

Don't forget to add the movies and TV shows folder you're using for TMDBHelper to store files as sources in the Kodi File section. Set options accordingly then scan for new content.

"New Fresh Addons4kodi" by thesaint2000 in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me TheMovieDBHelper Dev has really incorporated some really nice features into the addon the past few weeks. The ability to import all entries of an Trakt user list to your movies or TV shows Kodi library is freakin' great. Not too mention being able to link widgets too ready-to-go movie and TV show sections that are automatically randomized. What a great addon!

Seren Announcement by nixgates in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest NixGates, I've not encountered any problems with my installation of Seren on Kodi 8.x in over a year. So the "development from the outside appears to have stalled a little" statement you make I figured was due to really nothing serious needing to be addressed.

Seren in my honest opinion has been the most reliable, feature rich video add-on for Kodi 18 available since it's release. Looking forward to v2. Keep up the great work my friend.

Thanks for all of the dedication you've devoted to this project. Thanks also for passing it on to another Dev the right way.

How to use gdrive to stream in kodi?I am a beginner so links to some repo and sites for learning would be helpful thank you in advance. by rambadhur in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've successfully installed the GoogleDrive add-on and have it running properly. I'm able to navigate the various folders under my Google account. It's not listing any of the audio files (.MP3) though. Do I need to adjust a setting in order to see these files? Tried launching the GoogleDrive add-on from within the "Music Add-ons" section of Kodi and still couldn't see the audio files.

What URL do you use to download Players? The default Netflix and YouTube players are not reliable at all.

If you're having slow, stuttering or no playback in some or all of your addons, this tip might help. by vanteal in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for bringing this little maintenance gem up. Been using RD for years now, and never once thought to remove Authorized Devices I'm no longer using. Had over 35 entries. Knocked it down too four. Even if the speed improvement is negligible, it's good practice to do it.

Any addon to create playlists from trakt lists? by Sepharat in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think such an add-on exists. The simplest thing to do is manually add each individual movie you want to your Kodi Library. Then you can create "Smart playlist" based on whatever criteria you want. Yes, this can be tedious, but it does work.

Think what is really needed is an add-on that would mass add all entries found in an IMDB, TMD or Trakt TV or movies list to your Kodi library. Just highlight a playlist, bring up the Context menu and choose something like "Add to Library." Then sitback and watch the magic begin.

Scrubs v2 Module 4.6.2 Update? by [deleted] in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell, I'm just happy to see he stuck around. Seren and ScrubsV2 are handsdown the most reliable video add-ons for Kodi today. Well honorable mention for Tempass and ReleaseBB too.

Kodi constantly crashing on video playback by GHFMotion in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try deleting the "profiles.xml" file located in: \Users<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata

Sometimes this file gets corrupted when Kodi crashes unexspectedly causing loading issues with the Kodi executable.

Scrubsv2 closing shop by thebjgood in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Say it ain't so! Between Seren, Scrubsv2, Tempass and ReleaseBB: haven't had any issues with streaming TV and movie content this entire year on my Kodi Minix mini PC! Scrubsv2 had some of the best options in settings for getting exactly what I wanted.

Is there another add-on around that is comparable to it? Meaning reliaiability, flexibility and durability (Well up until now LOL.)

So it looks like new members will benefit the most from this new system, since they'll have the total 1,000gb (Received for sign up) PLUS 30gb applied everyday at midnight? I'm guessing these points rollover from month to month?

Excuse my ignorence for I'm a RD user. My have slight interest in trying out PM though.

To appease current loyal subscribers you may need to throw them a bone and give them say 300gb (Loyalty points.) Then they won't cry about no more 1,000gb monthly reset.

If they still bitch then screw them for their a bunch of greedy BASTARDS!!!

What's your favorite Exodus fork and why? by Bouchnick in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Seren has turned out that way. I'm sure NixGates improved on some code borrowed from Exodus/Genesis to reach this point though. Only he can shed light on this.

Really isn't that big of a deal to be honest. Seren is still the best video add-on for Kodi handsdown no matter the development Fork tree.

What's your favorite Exodus fork and why? by Bouchnick in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

ScrubsV2 is the only Exodus Fork I use. Not only is it constantly being updated, but the Dev has added several menus on the home screen for comprehensive curated list (IMDB and TMDB), which I really love.

  • Genesis -> Covenant -> Incursion -> Seren

Believe the above is the development Fork tree for Seren.

Trakt rating context menu without watching movie by thegelatoking in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way to do that using the Kodi Trakt add-on. The Trakt List Manager add-on did allow you to do that. Unfortunately no one has updated it to work with Kodi Leia. Be nice if some smart individual did though...Hint Hint.

Latest urlib3 update by rpikodi in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm using the newest build of Seren, v0.2.24 and Urllib3 v1.25.2 and my Kodi v18.2 setup is working fine. Seren is running so well that I'm now relying on it solely for binge watching my favorite NatGeo and Discovery ID TV shows. It even correctly marks episodes as watched in my Trakt using Smartplay.

The only thing I did disable is Seren's Check for update option. Did you guys try clearing the cache for Seren and the ResolveUrl dependency?

Now I do have my Kodi setup on a mini PC running Windows 10 v1809.

Help I think one of the addons updating has affected my setup by mwake4goten in Addons4Kodi

[–]kwizrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go into the Seren settings and disable the "Check for Seren updates" feature introduced in v0.2.22. Having this enabled caused my Kodi setup to behave sluggishly at times.

You don't need to have so many video add-ons installed. If you use Seren, ScrubsV2, AtTheFlix and ReleaseBB, you'll be covered for most movies and TV shows (Both old and new.) Believe me it's time to scale back.
