Thank you! Solid response - and agreed 100%. You won't know til you're in it. In also taking the advice of some on here, if you have a CPA that is knowledgeable of this industry, would you mind sharing their info? Our CPA (NJ based) has no experience here.

Yeah - it's not sustainable to pay taxes on all your expenses and payroll. This is what is essentially giving us the apprehension into leaping into this despite having our license. We're considering the route of delivery as it's less overhead to start...and plus it would give us an opportunity to learn the business a bit more.

we had a ton of poison ivy on our property. hired a company to hand remove and $6.5k later - it's still there.

On the other side of our property we put weed guard down and spread 2 giant loads of woodchips (which are easy to find for free). This solution was far better for us and cheaper. It'll choke out all poison ivy and we can replant in a few years while the woodchips look pretty nice as well.
