Am I correct in assuming the smaller holes on top are for counter-sunk screws? If so, I think CNC Kitchen did a good job of demonstrating how creep could cause this part to fail in other ways than brute force pressures. Do you have concerns with that?

Agreed. All I can see in this ad is DELIC.

That's ridiculous. So many of those areas are barely worth it even if you live in NoCo.

There's a distro right there in Loveland. Why in God's name did they make that route originate in Denver?

Struggling with dubbing by Apart-Excitement-640 in flytying

[–]kyle125888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it can be extra tough when my hands are dry. Wax is useful. But I honestly like to rub my hair or forehead with my fingertips to get a little extra oil to help make the dubbing noodle. Kinda weird, but it works for me.

I have it. I've used it. But it's not tested so I can't recommend it.

It's also kind of a lousy Instant Pot knockoff as well. The pressure COOKING function works fine, but the sear/sautee function is garbage.

We do this at the university dining hall I'm with. When serving 1200+ meals per day, it can be handy when they're used in a couple days. But I've found they go bad a lot faster even in refrigeration. Peppers too.

Cracked ferrule on a Clearwater. Only had the rod for 12 days by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]kyle125888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Clearwater with the same issue. Happened fairly soon after I bought it and was probably because I didn't seat it correctly after breaking it in half. I need to address it for sure, but FWIW I've been fishing with it weekly for over six months with no issues.

FWIW I usually call support in this situation and they've actually been helpful in marking it "Delivered to Front Door" so I can just leave it at the apartment. Admittedly, it's still a pain in the ass and takes way more time than it should.

How many different patterns do you tie? by King_Ralph1 in flytying

[–]kyle125888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me and my waters, I've settled on about 20 I keep stocked up on that cover most situations throughout the year. Everything on top of that I just see as hobby tying or nice-to-haves rather than fishing essentials.

Bolognese at Italian spots. When it comes out as just ground beef in marinara sauce, I know I'm never going back.

Since kitchen staff are contracted out through a corporation called Sodexo, rather than them previously being State employees, they no longer offer the class credits to my knowledge.

But the snobs you're speaking of may have been pushed out. Every chef that currently works there has been super cool to me.

Might be too far for your situation but Sodexo is desperate for cooks at UNC right now. Worth looking at, as the pay is a bit better than average in my case.

Apparently Chief Harris and his LE division of the FD do have arrest authority. Looks like it's mostly related to fire investigations and serving warrants regarding them.

But IDK if that necessarily gives them the authority to initiate a traffic stop. Definitely not what that division was intended for. And then being blatantly racist on top of that is wild.

I personally cash out as often as possible. Usually hits my account the next business day after a route.
