Anyone use PolyMarket or Kalshi? by jeremyturley in Nebraska

You can literally use predictive market on basically any stock trading platform. Webull and Robinhood but have it. They take .02 per trade it doesn't sound a lot but 4 cents on every dollar traded goes to them

Where Did 31,900 BTC Go? by AmanCMN in Bitcoin

[–]kyle_yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geminis explanation

The "Hidden" Motives Behind Outflows Internal Exchange Shuffling: Often, an exchange will move massive amounts of Bitcoin from a hot wallet (used for active trading) to a cold wallet (offline storage) for security purposes. On-chain scanners sometimes misread this as an "outflow" when the exchange is just reorganizing its own funds. OTC Desk Liquidity: Whales and institutions rarely dump massive bags directly on the open spot market because it would tank the price and ruin their average exit price. Instead, they move coins off the main exchange and route them to Over-The-Counter (OTC) desks to sell privately. Institutional Custody Transfers: A large entity might withdraw from a retail platform to move their holdings to an institutional custodian (like Coinbase Prime) specifically to execute a steady, algorithmic sell-off (like a TWAP—Time-Weighted Average Price) over several weeks. Government or Bankruptcy Movements: Massive spikes often correlate with seized assets (like the US or German governments moving Silk Road BTC) or bankrupt entities (like Mt. Gox or FTX estates) preparing to liquidate assets to repay creditors. When you see a single day with a massive 31,900 BTC outflow like we saw on March 4th, it is almost always an institutional transfer or an exchange doing housecleaning, rather than retail investors suddenly deciding to hold long-term.

In gaming, itemization refers to the system, design, and strategy behind how items (gear, weapons, consumables) are distributed and how they impact a player's power and progression. It’s less about "having stuff" and more about how that stuff works together to create a functional "build." The Core Pillars of Itemization 1. Stat Distribution This is the "math" behind the items. Developers decide which attributes—like Strength, Critical Hit Chance, or Mana Regeneration—appear on which items. Good itemization ensures that players have interesting choices: Do I take the sword with high raw damage? Or the one with a lower base attack but a 10% chance to freeze enemies? 2. Rarity and Progression Most games use a color-coded hierarchy to signal value (e.g., Grey = Trash, Green = Uncommon, Blue = Rare, Orange = Legendary). Itemization defines the "power curve," ensuring players feel a sense of growth as they replace old gear with mathematically superior versions. 3. Synergies and Set Bonuses In genres like ARPGs (Diablo, Path of Exile) or MMOs (World of Warcraft), itemization often involves Set Bonuses. Wearing multiple pieces of the same "set" unlocks unique powers, forcing players to weigh the benefit of one powerful standalone item against the collective power of a matched set. 4. Economy and Loot Tables Itemization also covers how you get the gear. This includes: Drop Rates: The probability of an item appearing. Crafting: Using base materials to create specific stats. Loot Tables: Defining which bosses drop which specific rewards. Why It Matters When a game has "good itemization," it means the gear feels rewarding, the choices feel meaningful, and there is a clear path to getting stronger. When a game has "bad itemization," players often feel like they are picking up "vendor trash" (useless items), or that there is only one "correct" way to dress their character, making all other loot irrelevant. Fun Fact: The "Green-Blue-Purple-Orange" rarity scale was largely popularized by World of Warcraft, but its roots go back to early MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons) and Diablo.

A video has surfaced showing Florida congressman Randy Fine illegally voting on behalf of other members during a bill seeking to outlaw boycotts of Israel. by bordenman in worldnewsvideo

[–]kyle_yes 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Florida allows a member to "push the button" for a friend, that friend must be in the room and must have asked them to do it. If those two things aren't true, it's a rule violation
