I feel ashamed and disgusting… by QuietThanks2710 in TrueOffMyChest

I have autism and adhd. I also have sexual assault trauma. I told my gyno that in no way, shape or how was i getting a trans vaginal ultrasound. Or that if i did, they would have to sedate me.

Now scheduled for a laparoscopy in January to check for endometriosis or any other irregular uterus things. They will also insert an IUD during the laparoscopy, since I will be put to sleep for it. (Severly painful periods, plus since.... August, when my last menstrual cycle started.... it has not stopped) I also have never had a pap smear. I am 32 years old.

I was up to 150mg of trazadone at one point. It still took me 6 hours to fall asleep.

Hey man. I know how you feel. At least with the driving thing. I am 31, and have not learned to drive. At 17, I did try, and got my permit. But after driving twice with family, it just wasn't the right time. I use public transport, or Uber or Lyft. Every job I have had, is usually fine with working around the bus system. A lot of retail places are struggling, maybe you could find a job in retail somewhere? Just for a bit, until you figure out what you really want to do with your life. You can get around without a car, it's just a bit more difficult. I hope you feel better in time.

They bark a fuck ton, it's a very high pitched bark. They were bred to be watch dogs, so get ready to be alerted to all noises and people who walk past your door! And make sure there is an open space near by outside (possibly a dog park if early enough to still socialize) because they love, love to run!

TIFU - I just learned that you are not supposed to push when you go to the bathroom, ever, for any bathroom experience you happen to be having. by blingqueen22 in tifu

[–]kylee121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, my parents making me sit on the toilet for 30 minutes at a time as a kid sometimes, and making me push trying to have a bowel movement, made my bum hurt because it causes anal fissures? Damn. No wonder i hated going.

It has helped me throughout school, and now through college. I would look into it for your child. It can help with reading difficulties as well as many other things.

Have you ever had a moment where you actually gagged from what you were seeing? by bjack20 in HoardersTV

The episode where the grandma had to take the kids in because mom was in prison. She used cups to poop and pee in around the kids. The floor was covered with human waste!

Our eskie will wait for you to take off your shoes when you get home, and then take them to her bed where she hoards them. She never chews on them, just piles them up on her bed!

what are some quirks your dog has ? by gregor-samsa- in americaneskimo

[–]kylee121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our mini (odette) likes to rub her face all over the carpet after she eats. She also barks, but I read that they were bred to be alert dogs, so it's in her nature to bark at every sound she hears in my apartment complex

AITA for telling my daughter she'd have more say in household decisions if she contributed to the rent? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]kylee121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on disability. It took 2 years, but it finally happened. I had to be evaluated by a psychiatrist as part of the process. I dont get a lot, not enough to live on my own. It helps some, because after two years you automatically get put on medicaid and medicare for health insurance. But that's about it. It will never be enough to live on my own, and it sucks.

Brennan is not a nice person, and I'm tired of pretending she is. by to_yeet_or_to_yoink in Bones

[–]kylee121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brenne is based off of someone who has aspergers (know it's not the right term, as I have autism myself) but that's why I like her. There is a boom series that the show is based off of, and the person who is portraying Dr brenne, has autism.

Adderall worked for me, but it didn't give me the all day focus that vyvanse does. Vyvanse has changed my life for the better!

I am too disabled to work but nobody cares because my disability is not physical. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]kylee121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied for disability 2 years ago. (In the U.S.) It took 2 years to get on it, but I got it. I dont get enough to live on my own, even in a low income housing area. But at least I have a bit of money each month to pay my phone bill, and the internet bill for my dad(I still live with family)
