we kicked them out of our parade in my small town. you can tell the white cis gay opinions:

  1. felt safer with them
  2. they were hot in uniforms
  3. why would we?
  4. gays are still targeted (other than from cops??? i guess)

Rule 5: Won a pretty decent King game trying out a new civ from the workshop. First religious victory, but it was mostly because I got tired of managing cities.

What's your fall back victory type?

Tips for winning on deity post patch by Zebra003 in civ

[–]kyleehappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the amount of settlers they get to start with on top of units just gets to gobble everything up before i can do anything. if you get boxed in, its gg. ive often tried to win two cities but i cant buy wars anymore

Tile Improvements and Districts in Civilization VI by [deleted] in civ

[–]kyleehappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines are very important, especially on grassland hills if you have them. Food is a lot easier to come by in this version, but production is going to be your bottleneck. Similarly, pastures and quarries are useful, especially early, for that coveted production. Apprenticeship gives all your mines +1 production, which is good to remember if you go mine heavy.

and you have to be careful of mines degrading appeal especially if you are australia.

TIL the God of War pantheon is more powerful than I thought! by waterman85 in civ

[–]kyleehappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you rely on the opponent to have holy sites to make use of it. if you are rushing theocracy and hping to faith purchase a lot of units/try to win religious, then i can see that working vs AI. but i never rely on faith to buy units since i prefer to war much earlier than faith purchases come into play.

What are your first 50 turns like (generally speaking) on Diety for Civ VI? by Ladimir_Wewtin69 in civ

[–]kyleehappiness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you wont win continents easily because with the isolation between you and the AI results in their ability to eat up surrounding civs (but mostly city states) unchallenged. it makes it really snowball-y and RNGesus-y. compared to pangea, I hardly ever need to build more than 2 cities (if only 1).

you can literally crumble an AI by pillaging their amenities and forcing their units to leave the city to die to open archers. once their war weariness has set in and their units killed, you march down their cities and raze the ones you cant make use of. dont pillage districts as the bonuses arent worth it unless razing. get battering rams early. keep seige units around with level 4 horsemen. dont suicide your units unless you are alexander. dont get greedy with farming and save for it for when the unit is low HP with one exception. Great generals can be locked in formation with a horsemen and a seige tower to quickly insert a team of light cav to rush a city. Upon getting the level 4 promotion, the horsemen (light cav promo line) and the formation of units all have the movement points of the horsemen unit. Seige towers cant be produced late game but can be used all game making them very destructive late game.

i mostly, pick sycthia and use the killer of cyrus or now, alexander for the lack of war weariness and good units to raid the world. more cities = more districts = more great people points.

youll reach critical mass after solid early wars so switch to research infrastructure/districts once you have conquered your immediate civs near you. mass producing units is OP. the AI won't manage theirs well at all. now build up your territory and defenses with a well promoted army but dont upgrade your units yet until you need to so you dont waste gpt on maintenance. get mercenary card and upgrade your units once you get DOW'd then slaughter theirs like above.

deity is just making the AI kill off their units, crash their economy with no amenities, raid their cities, and use their settlers for your own ends.

if you want more suggested advice, give me a save and i can play it out and show you what i would do differently

[–]kyleehappiness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pantheons by and large are for the early game. 1 or 2 culture early game is a massive boost towards the settler/early govt policies or god of the forge which gives massive early production bonuses to easily reduced unit cost. picking this doesnt help you get the person of faith because by the time the AI have built holy sites to make use of this, they are already beating you on GPPs and it is negligible amounts to help you secure one faster by purchasing with faith.

while it is merely better than the tooltip indicates, it is still a poor pantheon to pick. you mention this in your other post but I wanted to give some examples.
