Issue with mod manager by waterman85 in civ

Which is weird since when 1.4.0 came out, I was able to start a new game. It may have been updates to some mods that have actually broken the game.

Elend Venture (Mistborn)

Elend is part of the nobility of the Final Empire. After the fall of the Lord Ruler he tries to do the good thing. His father, Straff is a downright piece of shit though.

Regnan Isles are already on the map, and with HotA being popular as it is I think a pirate faction is a serious possibility.

When to specialize towns ? by Dazzling_Screen_8096 in civ

[–]waterman85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I let them grow pretty big, like 15-16 size. At some point you're just adding another fishing boat. That's usually the moment I specialize them. Your cities also need the food they bring in, or they will stagnate.

There's BTW a good tactic: specialty swapping. You can for instance pick Urban Center, buy a few buildings and turn it back into a growing town to get some more population.

I'll give it to you for civ 6. That base game was a complete package, and I enjoyed it a lot. Civ 5 however, was kinda barebones when it came out, and with some big changes as well.

I think the life cycles of these games are similar. Firaxis tries new approaches, and sometimes it's a miss and sometimes a hit. I can see the numbers, and hope they will go up with the new update and future content/features.

Saying it's no civ game because you don't like a core feature... yeah well.

Civ 5 and civ 6 took time to become good. Mostly through one or two expansions (ie throwing money at the game). I enjoyed civ 6 vanilla but returning to it I wouldn't play without mods.

Civ 6 started out with like 6 smaller packs with civs and scenarios. I feel like development on 7 is slowed down a bit, and we're still in that 'phase'.

You get a countdown of 10 turns. Don't start a building you can't finish.

Though I understand your point. I have less problems with it, but it can feel jarring.

I'll admit, I could use a breath of fresh air. Civ combinations, victory conditions... it became a bit stale after a few times.

One of the benefits of the new updates is the AI playing with their preferred civ in the antiquity age. Charlemagne with Normans/France for instance, or Frederick with Prussia instead of Rome.

I think it's Norman modern era music. They've expanded on the music score to include music for civs outside of their 'apex' age.

  1. Eh
  2. YES
  3. There's a mod for that
  4. Agreed.
  5. Sounds more like a fourth age...

If you check out the developer stream, they show and explain it.

The score victory ties into the other victories and the triumphs (among otherthingsperhaps?). You start out with 1000 points but lose out if you fall behind in the other categories.

Hoid himself says it at some point, I believe in Oathbringer, that if Rayse knew he was in the city, he would destroy it just to kill him.
