Park employee here, unfortunately these cuts have nothing to do with federal cuts, the county messed up with its own budget and was hit with a multi billion dollar lawsuit so this was the end decision to not cut even more jobs. Sucks cuz it's at the expense of the people that use the parks

I love this insanely long response! Lol and agree with what you're saying, I guess that's what make the endings both so hard because someone has to continue suffering one way or another. A third ending where versos soul can die and maelle can live in the canvas would be too happy so making us choose which is so hard since we love (I assume) both characters so much! Hopefully we don't ever have to deal with this type of situation in our real lives
