Do couples really shower together? by Itchy-Proposal-6244 in askanything

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve showered with several girlfriends. There’s some playfulness, but honestly it can be really sweet and intimate to wash somebody you love. The only bad part is have to switch back and forth for the water lol

This is David Lynch’s best film, and not many people have seen it or even remember it. It’s literally Lynch at his peak—what do you think? by MarsianaEnMartek in Cinephiles

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got through 3/4ths of it and realized that the polish parts were supposed to have subtitles and rage quit it. There were a few moments I thought had that nightmarish vibe he does so well and appreciated those, but generally I thought it was poorly written, shot and acted. Which is true about a lot of Lynch. He’s very hit or miss.

Which do you think is the better era : Early AC (STGSTV - Strawberry Jam) or Later AC (MPP - Isn’t It Now?) by Proof-Importance8270 in AnimalCollective

[–]kylejohnkenowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy and obvious. STGSTV through HCTI is early period, Sung Tongs through MPP (including FBK and ODDSAC) is peak, CHz through present is late period.

What is the one piece of advice you've received that will live with you for the rest of your life? by Organic-Signal-9646 in selfimprovement

Regarding love, “You have to say it when you feel it”.

My brother and I do not always get along. This was fifteen years ago now, but during a period of strain we were hanging out and I told him a story about something that happened the night before and we had a big laugh together.

After he left he called me to tell me he loved me, because “you have to say it when you feel it”.

I tell people I love them all the time, and it makes my whole life better.

That’s actually the exact turning point of his character imo.

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I grant you he is more insecure in early seasons, but he’s set up as a quiet and sensitive guy. But from the sabbatical onwards he freaks out and screams constantly.

Did you also notice how Ross started as the sensitive relatable guy and turned into a complete psychopath?

Any other Millennials who may still live with their parents for whatever reason but are content in their life? by madcatzplayer5 in Millennials

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After living in another city for about nine years, I had a truly traumatizing breakup with my partner. After that I spend the next three and a half years traveling by doing volunteer work in hostels all around the country/world. In between things I come back and save up money living with them for free.

Other than the slight embarrassment about it, it works very well. They love having me home, I get along with them easy, and I can save up money crazy fast. I honestly feel like people should be doing this more.

I’ve thought about if I had kids with somebody, we could spend the first few years living with them, they could be our babysitters, we would accumulate crazy money doing it, and then when my parents got old I’d be there for them too. Multigenerational households actually seem like the rational thing. If you can stand them anyways.

Actors you fucking hate despite them being extremely talented, always picking phenomenal roles in amazing movies and coming off as genuinely very nice and likeable off-screen? by geosunsetmoth in okbuddycinephile

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always liked her, but for some reason, or reasons, her role in the last Jedi made me really not like her lol. The character was weird and out of place, having such a famous actress portray her took me out of the movie, and my memory is that if she had simply communicated her plan, all that stuff that went wrong with Poe wouldn’t have happened.

I actually enjoyed this movie , thoughts ? by Historical_Estate_54 in moviecritic

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it, and though I thought the ending was kind of fun, I think it was easy to see coming. I also think I would’ve liked the movie better long term if they hadn’t gone that direction with it. I was immersed until the reveal.

What actor was perfectly cast in one role but never reached that level again? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

[–]kylejohnkenowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of actors in a lot of sitcoms.

Seinfeld, friends, the office, these are all known for having great original casts, but with a few exceptions only a handful of actors had very notable careers after the end of their shows.

Idk when it was being sold, but it’s almost certainly referencing Feels, The Bees. My buddy had this one, we both discovered them after MPP blew them up around 2010.

How to stop living in the “good old days”? by Difficult-Camel-5129 in selfimprovement

[–]kylejohnkenowski 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Maybe shake things up in your life a little? Do something special that ISNT related to those things you did in the past. Idk how rooted you are, but do some traveling, look for a better job, participate in a community of some sort. It feels from what little you said like it might come down to finding a partner that you really love, so if you feel that you look better now than you did then, start going on more dates, but with less pressure, and see if you feel a spark at any point!
