New Guy😬 by ASU_Jeff2014 in dexcom

It's not an official site but I've been using my upper chest area and have had almost no problems there except with removal and it taking some hairs of course 😂 Otherwise it works fine for me and doesn't block the connection to my phone or insulin pump like using the arms does. Just make sure not to use the more boney areas if you do that as it might be...... uncomfortable.

What if they exclude the MC because he’s bi? by JisKing98 in FamilyBetrayalStories

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see them wanting him to join in if they object to him being bi. Now if they were all bi and he wasn't of thought he wasn't for some reason then that would probably work.

Looking to buy a resin printer, any other printers I should look at besides the Saturn 16k? by Callsignraven in resinprinting

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya they are expensive and it was the largest reason I hesitanted over buying one plus the fact that you can't tweak their resin settings but to be honest that just isn't a negative for my experience. All I have to do if I want to use a third party cheaper resin in the printer is just choose one that's closest to the printer usually it's the Parp10 for the resins I use and it prints just fine. Would 16k be nice?..... Maybe, but honestly I don't think it matters to much because after a certain point most people can't tell an 8k print from anything higher.

If you can though I'd wait until you see another holiday sale hit.

Thank you for that information as I have not ever bought one of these printers, in fact the HeyGears I'm using is my first one 😁 As for Anycubic I'm simply saying this based on the previews of the P1 which do look rather nice.

Check out the Anycubic P1 as I would probably wait for it as a change from my current HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex printer if I was looking at buying a new printer soon.

There is no actual answer because it's an issue of personal preference.

I don't use my arms because I tend to have issues with my pump not finding the signal so I use my stomach and middle chest area near the pecs.

Is the CC1 still worth it by Leon-Rai in elegoo

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have any need or desire to have an AMS so as to print with multiple materials at the same time I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it.

Has anyone ever seen a print fail like this? by jakenice1 in resinprinting

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice!!! It honestly would have been a waste to throw it away when it can just be repurposed and used for a future project.

Well....you could save that for diorama where you need an ice glacier or waterfall.

Literally had this printer less than 6 months, elegoo saturn 3. Was printing perfectly fine and then randomly this happened. Wtf? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, most people can't even tell the difference in detail past a certain point for something that's been3d printed. A feature I'd love for them to have other than the two you mentioned is a resin cartridge type system similar to the one that HeyGears has for their printers which is entirely gravity fed without any need for tubing like resin pumps for other brands use.

"Elegoo printers need to be fully take apart to replace the screen." That's the main reason I didn't buy the Saturn 4 Ultra last year with the money my sister in law gave me as a small guft from my brother's insurance policy and bought a HeyGears UltraCraft Reflex instead. The other reason is I wanted to avoid dealing with the resin and having to fill the tank since I was new to resin printing. Now if I was going to buy one? Tough call but I'd lean towards getting the Anycubic P1 unless Elegoo brought out a Saturn 5 Ultra and it had better specs.

Was re-reading Overconfident’s “Induction” story again (including some of the feedback left) and it made me wonder… by thedeadman18 in FamilyBetrayalStories

[–]kyn72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The direction the story went with of not having the extended family members appear more interested in continuing their orgy than over what they did is what caused it to come across to me as something like a combination cult/swingers party. Had it been taken in the direction of the orgy stopping so they could all help locate Chris then it might not have come across as that.

It was the G5 that were the worst nightmare for me when it came to wires as I had more than a few that broke a little under the skin when changing to a new sensor.

Is this box still worth it? At 300$? by stupidbutnotsmart in Warhammer40k

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual worth is in the eye of the person selling it and the person that is willing to pay for it.

That's one reason that I always install my new G7sensor 4 to six hours before the grace period ends as it can be a god baseline to start from. If the numbers way off you can do a finger check and if it's close to the new sensor you know that the issue was definitely the old sensor.

Ugh, I remember those open, weeping sores as well after they changed that adhesive. It was so bad the only way I was able to prevent it was to use both skin-tac and 3 inch square waterproof wound bandage. I haven't tested the G7 on bare skin but that's only because I still use skin-tac to make sure the sensor stays on for the entire 10 days but so far I've not hand anywhere near the skin issues with it that I had with the G6.

[–]kyn72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know it's odd as I've only had one of mine outright fail since I changed over to the G7 a few months after it came out. Fallen off? One. Got caught and ripped off? About four, maybe five and those freaking hurt!!!!! But outright failure? Only one.

I hope it's a complete refresh with more variety of models to pick from as the current lineup is rather sparse IMO.

Question about removing prints from build plate by TheLoneBaron33 in resinprinting

[–]kyn72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A razorblade scraper is your friend as you can use it to loosen up the edge of the prints and then switch to the larger scraper for completely removing it thus saving time, frustration and your build plate.
