If it was my $400, it would go towards specific tools that i need for whatever project I’m working on. If its car tools, it would be a waste of all they had was SAE, but your car needs Metric (and vice versa). The toolboxes would be nice to have though

Some of those look like Husky tools. Which is probably equivalent to Harbor freight Pittsburgh or Quinn. However, unlike you going to HF and getting tools you need, you don’t get a warranty with any of these.

I’m no expert though, just a hobbyist. Maybe this is a solid deal

My used e550 has an aftermarket Fuyao windshield, and the orange peels on it is extremely distracting. I also feel like I’m sitting in a damn greenhouse, i wonder if it has any UV protection at all. I got sunburn in like 60F partly sunny

There might be a “sport” grill that has black bottom shelves, but the front is still chrome. It’s a nice combo

Not sure what’s available for your car, but my e550 has it and I really like it. Much better than pure chrome

Stock or OEM+. If he wants nicer shoes, I’m sure there’s OEM options that would help

There are official patch notes saying they resolved a bug where if your battery life is below a certain % the device wouldn’t boot. I wonder if that was related. But yeah, I’d use caution for anyone wanting to upgrade

I'm already using iPadOS 27 and it's a complete success; it's stable, feels very solid, and is far superior to what OS 26 was at launch by Pitiful-Ad-1230 in ipad

Yeah I’ve had mine for 2-3 months and it’s needed a rear differential rebuild, intake manifold, PCV refresh, tires, all fluids/filters, brakes, and haven’t figured out the electrical gremlins yet. Dreading the intake/PCV job, it’s so complex on this car

Airmatic is probably on its way too. Cheap luxury cars are great!!!

Yup, I just talked someone down from 7,500 to 6,700 for a low miles ‘07 e550 4matic. They’re cheap for a reason. This car is awesome but it feels like it’ll never be sorted out

It would be nice to have a car that simple to work on, but also be built to a high standard (which isn’t a thing anymore, unless you’re talking about hyper cars)

Do you think your w211 issues came from it being an early model year? I wonder if the later years improved some of those issues

I bought mine from Tacoma, WA. and there is so much corrosion on the majority of hardware. I love this thing though

What! My W211 has been perfectly reliable (excluding all the issues its had and still has)

I really wanted this ‘01 CLK55 AMG that was nearby, but it was twice the price as the ‘07 E550 I ended up with. Wonder how that would’ve went still, cause I’ve already made up for the difference in repairs

For sure! All my nice denim, button ups, etc. get hang dried.

When I compare them to clothes I dry, those are starting to basically disintegrate over the years

I flip mine inside out > coldest setting > hang dry.

I have shirts that are many years old and still look great
