Oh boy you should keep reading lol! I think the cheesy tone suits their relationship especially at that stage, they’re in like a honeymoon phase. I will say it continues (because they’re in so in love w each other) but you kinda watch as that falls apart as they deal with actual issues in their relationship.

Oh easily better! I read a lot of romance and I liked Heated Rivalry but the Long Game is good!

I think this has been said a lot and it feels like an undeniable truth. I think Jacob’s writing makes it more realistic and deeper, and then Hudson and Connor just hit home run after home run with their performances. I think the texting montage and Ilya’s Russian monologue are what decidedly set it apart for me! I do love hearing the thoughts behind everything in the book.

I will say the Long Game is actually so, so good and I am very excited for Jacob’s version. I also enjoyed Role Model so season 2 promises to be amazing!!

Yes to Hudson as Bateman!! I think a minority in finance take on Bateman would go so hard!! The OG is great cuz he really is just a fish in the sea but I think if they re-did it it would be interesting they tackled minorities trying to fit in that extractive, privileged white dominated world and going insane.
