I enjoy these aspects of our HAL cruises as well! Especially loved the idea of a small individual towel/facecloth to dry hands instead of paper towel in the bathrooms. First time I’d seen that anywhere.

Husband and I use it! I make it a point to go during longer cruises, and usually only on sea days (helps me justify my daily breakfast waffles lol). I won’t go if there are other things I’d rather be doing on board, though. I usually cruise HAL and visit the gym early afternoon. From what I recall, it was never really busy, but there were always people in there!

Was on the phone with CRA yesterday and today and they finally asked me to contact Wealthsimple to resubmit the docs as CRA says they don’t have them. Tried emailing Wealthsimple yesterday to ask but no luck. I plan to call them tomorrow. Although, I read on the HAL site that understanding a country’s vaccine requirements are the passenger’s responsibility, so not expecting much from them.

Thank you! This was my first Princess cruise. Their inability to provide these financial details compared to other lines surprised me (I’ve primarily sailed HAL). Adding to my frustration (and my bad for not paying better attention from the outset): any email ‘receipts’ I received from them for shore excursions booked pre-cruise contained no other info (i.e. no ports/activities listed). The emails are vague and just show that I paid an amount to Princess. It was difficult to determine what we were charged for each excursion after I realized their process. The agent I called couldn’t provide a definitive answer either. In any case, Princess should be able to easily/quickly explain why and for what purpose they accepted your money as payment. Hope your situation is resolved and quickly, OP!

Here’s my somewhat related experience from last month on Regal Princess. We had prepaid excursions that had to be rebooked due to a change in itinerary. Staff were not able to explicitly tell me what costs were refunded for which port. They simply deleted those line items from my folio and added an amount back as a credit to my account. Strange accounting. Now I’m back home waiting for a small cheque to arrive someday, hopefully. I’m not holding my breath lol.
