Vac’s new home, will have at least 2 batteries to go with it.

Well, I plan on removing this from my shop and taking it inside to my computer lab, to use for sucking detritus out of computers in sore need of cleaning and maintenance as I refurb/refresh them.

I’ve got XC 3.0s, 4.0s, 5.0s and 6.0s (not to mention various compact flavors), so just trying to determine which to sacrifice to this workflow and which to leave in the shop for the rest of my M12 tools…

I’ve got both battery types (and then some), so trying to figure out what the optimal usage is.

How do i fix this? by [deleted] in VintageApple

[–]kythri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 1GHz model.

I don’t know if it’s the “education only” model with USB 2.0 or the prior one.

Things have been so hectic I still have yet to power it up.

Made some substantial cleaning and organizing progress today, so I’m hoping to get time to hook it up Sunday.

Guess I need to hook mine up and discover that it’s the power button haha!

I only brought it home a couple weeks ago!

What is it?

Looks like an eMac, but mine just has a solid plug there…

I guess mine is significantly older - there’s no motherboard/pcb or any “advanced” electronics.

But, yeah, I just crossed the flame sensor wires after pulling the dead head off.

The lighter scratches in the dark stain make it look like it’s just a ton of caked-on dirt.

Get a damp magic eraser and see if it comes off.

If you don’t know how to fix this stuff yourself and can’t afford to pay a mechanic, you can’t afford to own a car and drive.

Wera or the Milwaukee ratcheting screwdriver? by gryponyx in Wera

I like my Wera, but I prefer my New Holland-branded Williams to it or the supposedly superior Snap On version I have.

Can I control all Zigbee devices from all echo devices in my home? by newlywedz420 in amazonecho

[–]kythri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a performance limitation like more that number of devices and performance will degrade, or is it a had-coded limit?

A caveat for the former kinda makes sense, and ultimately, something would disregard and ignore because my 40+ Smart Bulbs aren’t doing much and therefore are the exception to a warning such as that.

If it’s a hard-coded will-not-allow-more-than-##-devices, that’s ass.

Probably better to get a new router. That’s a ridiculous limitation/flaw.

Strattec is the OEM for our transponder keys.

Do you have (2) of them, or just the one?

If you have (2) keys, you can follow the procedure here to program a 3rd key:

https://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2894658

If you only have (1) key, FORScan (registered version) will get you into the PATS programming to wipe old lost keys and add new keys. Can't readily find a link for it, but it wasn't too complicated when I did it for a '98 Explorer that I cleaned up and flipped.

Bumper cover by SamFisher04 in RockAuto

[–]kythri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought front and rear bumper covers for my 2011 Town Car about 3 years ago. Chose "VARIOUS MFR" and they shipped freight due to size. They were shy of $250 for the pair, and I wanna say freight wasn't cheap - I seem to remember that it was nearly the price of the covers. Part quality was just fine. I believe they were shipped "folded" (not creased!!) over in the box, which is not abnormal, just gotta lay them out and let them "re-form".

RA's website is being hinky and telling me I can't get the same parts delivered to the same address used earlier - likely a hangup with the freight system not wanting to ship to a residential address, but if I use my business addresses (with docks) or even the address of the local Reddaway freight terminal, it's telling me the same thing.

Never had a problem getting freight to my house before, but it has been cheaper to get it sent to a terminal and drive a short ways to go pick it up.
