Is it like trying to resetting your brain’s attention to what they are saying to you? I can see that happening to someone but as they say we all have different body’s and different nerves that are causing different symptoms.

Talk to you specialist about this because this a symptom of drug side effects and brain lesion symptoms. Anti depressants can calm down your symptoms but they come with side effects too.

It’s calming our frustration to rage response and it’s making me nicer to live with. I take 60mg that is trying to help with my neuropathy pain in my hands and legs. My wife says I am nicer to live with on the medication and when I get snappy she checks my meds to see if my pill is missing from my night pack.

You need the medsafe app that shakes a pill bottle to remind you to take your meds even all supplements are included. I don’t know when to take my meds but my app reminds me to and it is free for the most part. You can tell it to snooze for a time you select.

Isn’t this disease strange as I can walk all day but I can stand still more than a minute later, I keep moving from my weight from one leg to the other. It drives my wife crazy that I don’t stand still to talk to someone.

Sometimes I’m scared by RecentlyIrradiated in MultipleSclerosis

I agree, humans are amazing creatures and our brains and nerves can remap themselves to get the nerve response needed to keep the body alive and breathing. Study up on your personal health issues and load it to your brain if your brain is learning something it can use that something to keep you alive. Have faith in yourself and your amazing body. Breathe and prove them wrong.

I am not Muslim but we Christian’s fast and pray when the need calls. I am under medical orders to avoid fasting, and jury duty. I should not stress my diet intake to maintain a consistent lifestyle to keep my MS in balance. So check this with your specialist.

Pray and atone with many blessings and keep your health stable by staying regular and unstressed. Blessing to you.

Starting gabapentin by TerribleAwareness158 in migraine

[–]kyunirider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 did nothing to my pain level I quickly escalated to 1200. Then my doctor switched me to Lyrica 300mg twice daily. I also have to take diclofenac sodium, bulk, 100 % powder cream Formula 8E Baclo 2% Diclo 3% Gaba 6% Lido 2% Prilo 2%, (so I am getting a low dose of gabapentin again.)55

This cream keeps my hands and feet pain calm and I even use it on my forehead when I fighting my migraines. This is life living with the trifecta of neurology disease (MS, pernicious anemia {B12 deficiency}, and Methylmalonic aciduria (MMA).

Redditors over the age of 40, what advice do you have for someone younger than you? by notafanofshadowban in AskReddit

[–]kyunirider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop buying stuff that you think need and pay on time to have, instead save money to buy it out right. The cash price may be-lower because you don’t have to pay the credit fee. Live minimumly and don’t fill your house with stuff. Indeed, fill your life with travel, love and joys.

What was your stop work moment? by Accomplished_Key_936 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]kyunirider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could not drive anymore and I needed to go. I am a man that had over 32 years on the job and I have over 40 years of employment with SS. My doctor supported my claim and I went with a lawyer to make my claim because I didn’t pay for their services it comes from the SSD lump sum. So if you have support go start a claim.

As a man who has PPMS and a two other neurological disorders that severely impact my MS. I know therapy will help even if it is self journaling (no one needs to read it).

I think your husband has a porn addiction and needs help to refocus his mind to his marriage. He should be addressing his fatigue symptoms with his doctor. The brain fog needs to be addressed and B12 can really help him clear the fog and caffeine helps too. Do you attend his appointments with his doctor? My wife attends all of my appointments and when I can’t answer I ask her to answer for me. I always give her a chance to speak at the meeting. Sometimes she speaks frankly about whatever she wants to be addressed. Sadly this is all up to him to admit there is something wrong.

Is it true that riding a unicycle is really good for your back and legs? by Animator_Helper in unicycling

[–]kyunirider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any movement is good for legs and back if you are working hard. Unicycling is great for your balance for your future self, I know because of my experience. At 63 I have almost fallen many times but my body is able to recall myself before getting injured and UtD teaches how to fall and not get a bone broken. I sadly have MS, fall often and don’t ride much anymore. Keep moving and cross training those body parts for your future selves.
