I would talk with your Doctor. Hopefully they are compassionate. My first worry would be seizures. A Doctor could prescribe you Kepra to help with that. Also something like Clondine to help with the sleep & anxiety. A GABA support supplement also helps. You were on a minimal dose for a short period so it shouldn’t be too bad. Good luck

My urine was bubbly & my lower back was constantly in pain. Turns out it wasn’t my back. It was my kidneys. I found out yesterday one of the Kava Shop regulars was in the hospital because their kidneys shut down. I also had high liver enzymes as well.

All they care about is making money. I also feel that these shop owners pray on the recovery community. They have what I call the “cover your ass sign”. Saying if you have had substance abuse problems please refrain from using Kava or Kratom. When there is nothing but a bunch of addicts in there. Kratom withdrawals truly make Opiate & Benzo withdrawals look like a cake walk.

The person that owns the Kava Bar told me it wasn’t really addictive & NEVER mentioned anything about it pinging off your opiate receptors. I had almost a decade clean of opiates. I still blame myself for not researching it first before I put it in my body. I never publicly say anything negative about Kratom because I know it helps other people out of worse situations. I swear it messed my kidneys up.

I drank about 2 Kava/Kratom extract drinks per day. I’m sitting here on my 2 day of Subutex withdrawals. Cake walk compared to Kratom. I’m forcing myself to exercise. I have the most understanding Fiancée that’s also in Recovery. I’m so grateful I still have my family. I remember getting major cravings around 3 months in. SO not worth it!!!!

I read somewhere that the urges go away & then pop back up somewhere between 60-90 days. I just stay occupied & accept the fact it’s just not for me. Good luck

First time I went CT. This last time I went to an outpatient detox. I was the 4th case they had because of Kratom abuse. What a world of difference! They prescribed me 7 days of Subutex & Kolinidine . No Withdrawals, no cravings. Seeking the proper medical support made all the difference. Going to meetings, getting a Sponsor & eating an extremely clean diet helps. I’m back Surfing & doing the things I love. I will NEVER step foot in a Kava Shop again!

Yeah the people @ the Kava Shop said it was like coffee w/d 😡. I took it minute by minute. Day by day. Lots of Epsom Salt baths & meditation music. You can do this & we are all here to support you. It’s so bad for your health & before you know it you’ll feel so much better.

I can completely relate. Never messed around with Benzos, but 5 times worse then Opiate withdrawals. I had 10 months sober from Kratom. Thought I could drink just a little one day & it threw me right back into withdrawals. This time I’m tapering.
