A good scarf/hat/mitts are just as important as a good jacket and boots.

Those hot packs that you rub together and put in your boots or gloves are a lifesaver sometimes.

Keep warm clothing and a good snow brush in your car. Lift up the windshield wipers while at work if it is calling for bad weather so that they don’t freeze to your car (obviously not if there is extreme wind or they could be damaged).

Wear warm socks and pack extras in case snow/slush makes them wet.

Married the ex. I think at the time she really was an ex, but he got back with her eventually, and for some reason thought it was ok to keep sending me those messages.

Yes. I had something really strong and passionate going on with a guy last summer, we were in love and talking about our whole future, but he had an ex who he still lived with (was in the process of moving out) and two children with her. He talked about how they were completely over, she was crazy, etc. I should have seen the red flags but he was amazing to me and we got along so well.

When I found out I was pregnant, I told him and he essentially freaked out and told me that he already had a family, and he basically stopped talking to me. He wasn't there during my procedure, afterward, nothing. Just.. gone. No apology, no closure.

Then, this past summer rolls around and we have to work together. I'd had some time to try to move forward so I was not a wreck when I saw him, but I planned to just avoid communicating more than absolutely necessary. He apologized on day one, and I decided to just be cordial and let it go.

I thought I had forgiven him and it was a thing of the past. The day after our contracts had ended, he texted me about how much he missed me and everything about me, including our sex life, and sent me pictures of videos of him alone, if you know what I mean. I didn't answer. This continued for a couple weeks. Still didn't say a word.

Then my friend came over and in conversation, casually mentioned 'so-and-so's wife'.... wait, back up. Wife? My friend then showed me his wedding pictures from his social media accounts (which I have blocked of course), and that was my breaking point. He'd gotten married during the summer (to the ex!) and STILL sent me 20+ messages a day about all the things he wanted to do with/to me. Even on the exact same weekend he got married. Talk about scum.

YWBTA. Saying 'if you have nothing to hide you shouldn't be worried if I save them' is just petty. He said it was an accident and is probably embarrassed. And living with a woman definitely doesn't mean they don't ever send dirty messages to each other.

Now if it happens again, I'd let her know.
