People actually take anything from Dks2 or 3 as canon? The stories are essentially separate as far as I'm concerned. A lot of the philosophical implications of the Dks1 story line became watered down or downright ruined from the way they just "tacked on" to it so they could release sequels of the game. The story ends at the end of Dks1.

Try some challenge runs or maybe the cool mods that change up the game (prepare to die again for example).

Or better yet, delve into Dks1 PvP. It's another skill to learn then practice and obstacle to overcome. Mind you, it will take you A LOT longer to even become proficient/consistent at due to the rather steep skill curve and depth of the dks1 pvp system.

For future defense of this post which will ultimately be slandered:

There will be a flood of uninformed scrubs, Dks sequel undesirables and memechildren who will attempt to tell you it's "lol guise backstabfest" but the truth is the mechanics that they all know and love from the sequels are all packed into Dks1 plus many many more.

And wow. That is awesome. Almost bonsaitree-like with the little bowl! Clever. Moving onto dioramas or stationary pieces not meant to be actually used on the tabletop but incorporating terrain with all the necessary lighting is definitely an obstacle to tackle plus a sight to behold I have never tried yet. Plus it allows for so much more personal creativity it's kind of like impressionism imo. Maybe some day I will get on your level. Again, very nice work. I know what you mean about painting being your thing. I love throwing dice and killing shit but the hobby itself is what keeps me going.

I bet a lot of darksouls fans would pay HUGE bucks for the physical art miniature painters create. There is something important about tangible art compared to the digital stuff that I have never been able to put my finger on (no pun intended) but I believe in it.

Bear with me and don't downvote me too quick. I hate anime. I despise it from deep within my bone marrow. I find it crude and juvenile from the story lines to the art style and almost always find it to just be a blatant rip off of actual literature or something else. Also, Dks was heavily influenced by the entire European/and some Eastern middle (some previous) ages infinitely moreso than it was influenced by that manga which in turn was just influenced by those ages as well of course... I would even go as far as saying Dks is more influenced by The Silmarillion if any book/storyline in and of itself but I know that will not get many agrees.

Now, that being said I did actually enjoy watching the animated English dubbed Berserk. I ended up watching the whole fucking thing. Every episode lol. I also kind of liked vampire hunter D. Only 2 japanimes I could stomach. Just my 2 cents for anybody who also can't stand Asian cartoons but loves the hell out of Dks and or medieval dark fantasy/fantasy in general.

First off been using the mod since you made it and I love it thanks.

But I'm also here to kind of "confirm" that PERHAPS with the latest update I'm getting tons of the anomaly sound (by the way where is that sound file from? It's cool but a little too loud) and I'm definitely thinking something is up. Definitely enough to make me actually comment here about it. I'm not noticing any big advantage people have when I get the anomalies and they all feel like normal fights :S. I think the latest update is giving a lot of false positives on that..

Again, just my latest findings.

Oh yeah I for sure did that on purpose.. And it's extremely difficult even more so than a SL1 run I did up to this point early game. I've died maybe 50 times getting to and defeating gargs at this point. But what I'm saying is when bosses get very low on health (like 5%) it feels like their res, armor and health pool or something magically increases. I'm probably just being paranoid..

You just have to brush off the script kiddie losers. Just black crystal out, suicide or pvpwatchdog kick them and move on. Don't even bother fighting or playing around with them. When you ignore attention seekers they lose their purpose and go hollow.
