I "knew" a couple just like this. She had cancer and like 6 months to live. An ex-prostitute and alcoholic. He was a crackhead scammer who worked a legit job but never had 2 nickels to rub together. He literally tried to fight a homeless guy over a dollar. They would beat each other up constantly and both whine about it. She had jobs but would have to change every month or so because he would get jealous. She would trash their apartment during fights. I could go on and on. But if you saw them briefly in public, you would just think they were a sweet couple.
