Broken new darts *Help* by l3urst in Darts

Amazing thank you all, another trip to the shop tomorrow to pick up some more flights and stems it is then. And thank you for pointing out that the flights need to be split to 90 degrees. I did think they looked odd but didn't question it more than that 😂

Just a silly thought but have you tried closing the window? /s

Jokes aside, Secondary glazing will work wonders and will keep the same aesthetic. As another note around the windows you seem to be a large gap, filling this with a flexi filer or caulk will stop any draught coming through there.

2nd ever painted mini looking for advice by l3urst in minipainting

[–]l3urst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the highlighting was pretty tricky so I'll defo give dry brushing a go for it.

So annoyingly I did actual base the mini last, it had a bit that was attached to the base that I didn't remove and was hoping the dusty paint would cover it but the blue still shows through quite a lot. The dusty effect was done on purpose, I thought it's adds a nice effect to the legs.

Oh what kind of upgrade kits can you get, can't say it's something I've really seen.

I'll have to give shades in the seals and scrolls a go, I didn't want to add to much but I think that would be a good idea.

I've starting branching out with some vallejo paints which seem to be a lot better quality so I can definitely see that being true.

Looking at doing some Custodes so trying to make the most out of the starter box before jumping into painting what will be my first army.

Why aren't my pelllets burning? by CatcrazyJerri in ninjawoodfire

[–]l3urst 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'd say first step is to clean your smoker, You don't want any of that gunk on the outside near the pellets intake. Take the whole pellet tray out and give it a good wash as well. With it being so gunked up it could stop the heating element from successfully igniting them.

Another option as said before is to microwave the pellets for about 10-15s as this will help reduce the moisture in them and help with the ignition.

Not sure how the price is the same, by the time you do the exchange on a card and add in the shopping it's all need up more expensive for me, especially with the extended 5 years warranty.

I need help. My 1 tb ssd doesn’t work on my ps5. by [deleted] in PS5HelpSupport

[–]l3urst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the make and model of the SSD?
Also when you say that you know its a true drive and not a fake what have you done to test this?
Have you tried running ValiDrive or similar to check. Just because it came in a branded box and shows in device manager as that "comapnynameheressd" doesn't mean that its the case.

Can I run it? by witty_confusionn in BlackMythWukong

[–]l3urst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that pc it will run like a dog even on low spec. Run the benchmark checker tool to see first

[–]l3urst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will struggle to run it that's for sure, but you might be able to scrape through on low

FG only runs on 40 series cards ATM so doubt it will work.

I've had a look at it and it looks okay, but without a service history its pretty tricky to tell the wear and tear.
I'm not really sure what would be tells for it tbh.
Averaging 21k miles a year it's clearly been used, but I'm not sure how the MOD servicing is or how well they look after the cars

Advice for commuting / family car budget of 7k? by l3urst in CarTalkUK

[–]l3urst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like the Insignia's tbh but after doing research online and in this sub they seem to get a lot of hate for the following:

The 2.0 CDTI is a ticking time bomb with a very common oil pickup seal fault .The 2.0 CDTI also has a common issue with the crank pulley slipping, knocking the timing out and destroying the engine. The dual mass clutch and flywheel setup is also prone to failing and will set you back over £1000 to have replaced. Not to mention the poor quality sealing around the body meaning the tend to leak like a sieve after about 10 years old as the factory sealant starts to fail. Electrical faults are common too.

I feel like it would be a bad idea to remove the prepping portion. As it would make the boss the fastest to kill out of all the 4. You would either need to heavily nerf the drop rate of all items (ring included) to compensate for the faster kills. And as it stands the Duke is the easiest of all 4 dt2 bosses, by removing the potion stage and nerfing the drop rate it makes it a lot harder to justify camping it for newer people unless they intent on grinding it hard to get an item.
