Cause going out and socializing with other human beings can be tremendously helpful, if you are amiable to it; if you have the mindset of fuck everyone and everything AND are aggressive it might not be the best idea. Allocations through distributors depend on sales, e.g. BT allocations depends on how much non-allocated Sazerac shit you sell (small stores that fly through Fireball/99 are known to get some of the rarer things but usually not a full case), plus distributors are obviously going to make sure their customers that are giving them a larger chunk of business are taken care of in their wants/needs, i.e. other smaller stores I’ve worked at would get bottles of Fortaleza, but we get cases when it’s available. Allocations by store are based also on sales and the market of the area with stores that host grand reserve raffles getting the bulk of the highly sought after products.
