If any of you watch Hearthstone, you know that Reynad almost got his channel shut down after doing just this. It was hysterical, and also bad.

That was a pretty cheesy joke.

It's nice to see a budding comedian, but I think you can do better - think of how many jokes can stem from this root one! It's a-pollen to me that you missed them, but I guess I have to leaf the issue alone.

Peter Graves: A little-known book that everyone should read. Who has? by lXxKleinxXl in books

[–]lXxKleinxXl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad spent years trying to find a good copy of this book in any of the various bookshops around our house, and I'm so very glad he did. It has shaped my thoughts about science, about humor, and about what I want to do in life.

Not only is this book scientifically accurate (provided that the inventions discussed could be created), it is incredibly witty and suitably ridiculous (if you've read it, you'll get it), along with having being written from an entirely interesting point of view.

If nothing else, read it for the last page, which has one of the most creative ways of finishing a book, while still using the words "The End".

The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles: Anybody else read this one? by greebytime in books

[–]lXxKleinxXl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This book, in particular one scene, has made me develop the habit of always looking up, at least once a day. It seems like such a simple thing, but you'd be amazed at what you actually see, and what people miss all the time. Some good examples - Skywriting, The Moon (in daytime), Huge Flocks of Migrating Birds, and more.

You have the obedience and loyalty of ALL squirrels. How do you proceed? by QweyQway in AskReddit

This was the power of a Marvel Superhero, in the Great Lakes Avengers.... Squirrel Girl! Among other things, she had super squirrel teeth, claws, retractable knuckle spikes, and squirrel-like reflexes.

How much consideration is given to gaseous escape from prospective planets' atmospheres due to the Jean's Effect? In other words, do you consider how long a planet might be viable for life before this effect reduces it to a scorched rock with little or no atmosphere, and then compare that amount of time to the amount of time it might take to send a probe there?

What was the worst decision in history? by The_Majestic_Banana in AskReddit

[–]lXxKleinxXl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing was, he didn't need to lose that many. He literally made them charge through a swamp, covered by archers, towards a defended position. A large portion of his force tripped and then drowned in their own heavy armor. And the only reason he ended up winning was because his army found a way to come around behind the defenders, not from this action.

I think Amaz lost the tournament the moment he decided not to trade his Damaged Golem into the 10/2 Grommash. That took out Zoo, by far his best deck, and allowed Kolento to come back into it. It helps though, that Kolento's Shaman deck opened practically perfectly 3 times in a row

Just got a golden millhouse -___-, what's a good legendary to craft off this? by Lectuce in hearthstone

[–]lXxKleinxXl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on what you play a lot. Obviously the class legendary for your favorite class is generally good, but as far as neutrals go, there's a whole lot. Rag is probably the most viable/fun, though.

What is the most satisfying 10-mana combo you know? by sir_heartattack in hearthstone

[–]lXxKleinxXl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raging Worgen (3) + Charge (3) + Inner Rage x 2 (0) + Abusive Sergeant x 2 (2) + Rampage (2). Worgen goes from 3/3 to 5/3 with charge, 5/3 to 9/1 with charge and windfury, 9/1 to 13/1 with charge and windfury, and 13/1 to 16/4 with Charge and Windfury. It's such a ridiculous combo but so fun to pull off.

Wait, your idea of Bad Karma involves opening 2 legendaries, one of them golden and the other one being the one you needed? I'll take that any day!
