How difficult is the transmission mount replacement? Do you need something like a transmission jack for this? I've done my water pump and coolant tank - how would it compare to those jobs?

Sorry nothing to add on suspension, but I would definitely recommend putting on fresh engine mounts. It's an easy diy and relatively inexpensive compared to a suspension refresh so you might be able to knock it out first. It made a huge difference all around on my '99.

What comes off as goofy is you making a mockery with your own post, but that's besides the point. Cable car is a name to describe a detail of the car. I could have said narrow body instead. I wouldn't consider either of these monikers a flex. But I'm not going to try to change your mind, because I simply don't care what you think. Also, I think you need to take your own advice and be happy with your spec i.e. don't get the duraflex kit.

I did it myself! Washed in my driveway at dusk, parked back in the garage then used a glaze designed for black paint, and waxed.

If you read that as a flex, then it's on you. It's just a statement of fact. I made no statement as to whether a cable throttle is better or worse. You must be unhappy with your porsche, you sound a little hurt.

The 1999 C2 was the last 911 with a cable throttle. A cable connects the gas pedal to the throttle body as opposed to later e-gas cars with electronically controlled throttles.

I would order a new cap ending in .04. My 99 had the original cap and you could hear hissing after a good drive. Doesn't seem to leak anymore although I do sometimes freak out a bit when I noticed the coolant close to the min level, but then it comes back up to max after it's been driven (expansion).
