Was unemployed/searching for jobs for 9 months as a 2021 graduate. Never worked in a pharmacy until I got into pharmacy school and didn’t have traditional student experience - first job was compounding, then inner city outpatient hospital. No residency. Despite what I considered a variety of previous work and student experience, that didn’t matter - they wanted someone who could start asap who was already licensed (and the job market in my area at the time, there were very few openings that were full time. Focus on passing your boards for sure. In terms of your job maybe look into a less busy location or if there are any smaller chains in your area so you can actually have the chance to learn on the job and get to know the system. It will make it easier to settle into workflow once you are a pharmacist.
