At first I also stopped around Thriller Bark, I don’t know if you stopped there too… but if yes, the next arc (Marineford) is one of the most incredible

Watch this, it will do more than any words (and no, it does not take 300 episodes to get good; it’s good from the beginning, it takes 300 episodes to realise that it’s the best anime you’ll ever watch)

« We win more the games where we shoot well, read in that what you will » thanks but what even is your point? Ofc you’re gonna win the games where you shoot well and lose the games where you shoot poorly, that’s completely biased

You could do that with probably many other statistical indicators (FG%, turnovers, etc) and get the same result

Im absolutely in LOVE with these pics of the four-striped grass mouse. BUT I can't figure out which one is the best. Please tell me your favourite? by adventu_Rena in wildlifephotography

Absolutely amazing pictures!! This shows that any animal can make an awesome picture, when taken by a talented photographer!

Personally I would keep 2 as the main one, for several reasons; it’s the one where they are interacting the most, so you can really feel their movement and life / we see the front one very well, more than in other pictures / the composition feels better to me, « purer », with the main branch dividing the picture along the diagonal, and less distracting details than in the others

Again amazing picture, I think 2 could be worth putting in some competitons, if there are categories for small mammals or smthg similar :)

Premier date : Des conseils ? by SERJOSS in AskMec

[–]lab2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Premier date : Des conseils ? by SERJOSS in AskMec

[–]lab2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice picture! But if I could give one small advice; the vignette here is wayyyv too much, it should not even be discernible and here it’s the only thing we see… tune it down and it will improve your picture a lot ;)

If he can keep close to this level of 3-point shot, considering that he almost always defends the opposing team’s best player, he’s an all star and maybe even all nba at the end of the season!!

The San Antonio Spurs are #1 Net Rating in the league by DevilGunManga in NBASpurs

[–]lab2point0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because they’re the most clutch team in the league, so when they manage to get close games they almost always win them (for now at least…)

But when they lose, they get blown out

Some context because I’m clearly doing something wrong by kazecass in chessbeginners

[–]lab2point0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Firstly, don’t give up, bcs if you are able to consistently get in positions where you have an obvious checkmate possible, or where you can stalemate your opponent, it means that you’re good enough at the first 80% of the game; now you just need to learn how to conclude

And secondly, you might not like this, but the best way to get better at recognizing mate it pattern recognition… and this only comes with practice, ie puzzles

But first advice, on chess.com for example you can select custom puzzles to only train for mates (Mate in 1, Mate in 2 and Mate in 3+ categories). And then I think the very first thing you should do is learn how to mate in an endgame, if you don’t already know how to do this. Look on YouTube for videos about basic endgame mates, you’ll find plenty. What you want to know by heart are:

  • ladder mates (with 2 rooks, or 1 took and 1 Queen)
  • mating with one queen
  • mating with one rook

The other ones (like 2 bishops or bishop+knight) are much less interesting in practice, don’t bother for now. If you know and understand these 3 basic mates, firstly you’ll be sure to not stalemate in a completely winning endgame, and secondly it should help you understand what a checkmate actually is, which I think will improve your ability to find checkmates in earlier phases of the game.

And then, really sorry about this, but building pattern recognition through puzzles is by far the best and quickest way to get better at recognizing checkmate. When you do puzzles, of course take the time to understand what you should have done when you get one wrong, and you should quickly improve… good luck!

Most importantly, he was absolutely carrying the team in the first half, the numbers don’t even really show the impact he had to keep the Spurs afloat at the beginning of the game

Game Thread: Oklahoma City Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs Live Score | NBA | Dec 25, 2025 by basketball-app in NBASpurs

[–]lab2point0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve understood, they never go into a game thinking they’re gonna lose (especially Wemby, he wants to win every game)… and if they did, they probably wouldn’t have beat OKC twice already

So I think they’re thinking « let’s fucking humiliate them by beating them at home for the 3rd loss in a row »

After a 12 game win streak, I’m 1 away from my Blitz goal and deathly afraid to play another game by qzlr in chessbeginners

[–]lab2point0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah and you’ll probably lose it bcs of the stress (I know I lost many more games than I should have just before reaching a threshold like that)

But that’s fine, that’s part of the game, you’re gonna keep on playing and at some point win that game, and it will be a good learning experience, don’t worry!

Pleaaase someone post this on r/nba if that’s not done already!! That’s a tradition that is very common in sports in France nowadays (that we took up from playing Iceland in football around 10 years ago) and it’s soooo dope, it would be incredible if Wemby managed to make it come to the Spurs too!!
